5 times??? Are they at least paying for your ticket?? the most id go is maybe 2 times to appease a good friend but sometimes you just gotta say no thanks!
Sometimes you gotta do things to keep the peace. Basically I've seen it so many times because of a fight that took place a few years ago that I managed to keep neutral territory on. And maintaining neutral territory means making some sacrifices. Oh, and my siblings on my mom's side, and my siblings on my dad's side. One viewing with mom's family, one viewing with dad's. Between those two situations, it means seeing every marvel movie 5 or more times.
It rained yesterday & it's cold out today. I had a long week, so I'm going to relax at the movies & see Unfriended & Avengers: Age of Ultron. I'll also go to the bookstore & another store or two.
Today I ran errands and shopped for a mother's day gift. Tomorow going out with mom and sister in the afternoon and mother in law and hubby in the evening.
Hot and humid here today! Got my grocery shopping done this morning, then have done some stuff around the house--my daughter is coming home tonight for a week!
My boyfriend is having finals so I spent the day in my preferred fashion -- cooking. Made a basil candied pine nut ice cream, a blueberry lemon cake, ramp pesto and a mexican mojo sauce for shrimp that turned out to be a terrible recipe. My mom mailed me some ramps from upstate ny and I've been trying to use them up all week!
The ice cream and cake sound delish! Beautiful weather here yesterday...shopped for Mothers Day, went to the farm for baked goods, went to garden center, watched a bit of golf tourney. Brunch today with sisters and mom.
I worked in my classroom all day yesterday. I'm moving rooms after 17 years in the same place, so it's a chore.
I spent the afternoon shopping with my mom. We also went for lunch together. Then I mapped out the last 7 weeks of school and started organizing all the texts I'm going to need to go with my themes. Finished off the day by making a Toblerone cheesecake which we will be having tonight for Mother's Day supper.
I am home today. Its raining here and I am not feeling very well today (fighting allergies all week) so I am in my jammies, sipping tea and watching the Law & Order SVU marathon.
I actually have made 3 different blueberry lemon cakes this week. My favorite is ina garten's blueberry crumb cake and you can Google that. If you want tons of lemon flavor, I would go with smittenkitchen's blueberry lemon pound cake. I made more basil ice cream today and I'm going to a jazz festival and wine tasting tomorrow.
Started to move my daughter into the house she'll be living in next year. Her big furniture is arriving tomorrow, so we'll finish then.
Been in the low 70s today & last couple days. Did some errands, went to Michaels, relaxed some while eating dinner, & now I'm doing some work on the computer. Other than you not feeling well, sounds good. Feel better soon!
Mowed the lawn today because we are anticipating storms tomorrow. The yard looks so much better, and that feels good. I will go into school tomorrow afternoon.
I spent all day at work helping clean out the classroom I'm moving into. Then we ate supper, and I got a pedicure. First pedicure I'd had in years. I booked it at a local salon instead of going to a nail place.
Today, went for a nice, hour-long morning walk at my old college campus...I love the terrain there...lots of inclines & stairs. Shopped at Target & now back home to start some working in about an hour.
It's been cool & cloudy all week w/ some rain here & there. I'll be cozy doing a lot of work at home this weekend. Will have a nice, tasty dinner of comfort foods today.
Stayed home today, I had such a long, busy week....today I took a walk, did a little planting on my deck, have a nice tray of baked mac & cheese in the oven and (like Ms.I) I also did some work from home today LOVING that its a long weekend
It was a nice, HOT day so I planted some flowers and puttered around the yard. I haven't done much school work and I feel like I'm forgetting something. Oh well! It can't be too important!
Lots of errands yesterday, as well as starting to pack for our grade 8 overnight trip later this week. I did take some time to sit on the porch in the sun and read. Today, lots of marking, more packing, and buying and planting some flowers (hopefully, yesterday morning's frost was the last of the season!).
Yesterday (Sat.) walked total of almost 2 hrs (morning & afternoon) in 2 different locations. That felt great!!! I already walked this morning for almost an hour. Just like yesterday, I'll be mostly at home doing work. I think I'll walk again later today too!
NYC day yesterday with out of town frends. We went EVERYWHERE! 911 Memorial, Chinatown, Little Italy, Rockefeller Center, St Pats Cathedral, then back to Battery Park for cocktails before heading home.
My whole weekend will consist of either working, walking/working out at the gym, & relaxing. Then, I'll be waking up at 2 AM on Tues for my San Francisco flight! I'm so excited.
Got back this afternoon from 3 days away with our grade 8 students--I'll be spending lots of time sleeping!
On Saturday my sister and I are taking our mom out to lunch and shopping for her birthday. After that I have some errands to run then maybe a movie!
Saturday is closing day at work. I work from 8:30 to 12:30. Then we have a retirement dinner, and I am going shopping with friends for awhile. Tomorrow night I have a date.
I am hoping to continue weeding and then plant some annuals, but the forecast is for rain, so I should clean but will probably read or work on a baby quilt!
Went for dinner last night, got home late....so I slept in this morning....still exhausted!! Haven't got off my couch yet Since today will be the nicest day this weekend...rain all day Sunday & Monday..i will be going on a nice long walk and then making chili this afternoon after getting some work done on the computer..the rest of the day I will just relax and enjoy watching my tv show marathons on cable tonite!
