Got home about an hour ago from a workshop. Nothing else on my agenda today except a quick grocery store run. I live such an exciting life lol.

I got up pretty early and went on a nice walk with some friends! The weather was a bit chilly but the sun was out and it was lovely! It started raining a few hours later so I'm glad I went out early. Did some laundry and grocery shopping also. I think I'll watch a bit of tv tonight and/or read something on my NOOK.

I know how you feel! My wife and I are having to live apart for a couple months due to my suddenly getting a position and her working on transferring with her job...so I've pretty much spent 80-90 hours/week in the classroom, and the other part driving, sleeping, or eating :p I slept in today (that felt nice!), relaxed a bit, and now am spending the entire day/evening in the classroom.

Oh wow I can only imagine how difficult that is for both you and your wife. Good luck with everything! Sleeping in is always a good thing.

It's such a small, but helpful thing. Nice to be able to decide when you wake up and get out of bed ;)

And yes, it has been tough on both of us (I had my roughest two days in a long time, if not my life right before I moved down here - having to leave her, be in a new area, in a new district, new curriculum, first full year as a full-time teacher...)...but this will make us both stronger :)

Grocery shopping is done, as is an 8k walk. On tap for the afternoon--making soup (carrot/apple/ginger), baking apple cake, planning and marking.

I've made this for the past few years. It's delicious--moist and very easy! I make it into three small loaves. One will be for us, one for the secretaries and caretakers, and one to take pop into the freezer and take to Lauren next weekend.

Had to coerce hubby into starting a fire in the wood stove. You would think it would be common sense. Apparently, me, staying in bed, with a ton of blankets and comforters piled on was enough of a hint that I have been very cold all day. I know most love fall, but to me, the cold days are the harbingers of winter, and I find no joy in them.

Pollen counts are still high, the rapidly shifting barometer can trigger headaches, and, well, we have discussed the cold. Pamper yourself today and hope it pays off in better health for the coming week. ;)

Yesterday was rainy so I stayed inside and did laundry and chores and caught up on some tv shows. Today I ran errands and now sitting on the porch enjoying my pumkin iced coffee and this crisp fall weather. Tonight is dinner out to get my favorite fall soup :D

I participated in my 6th 5k race yesterday with some teacher friends. After the race I went to a huge Half Price Books warehouse sale and got some books for my classroom. I don't need anymore books really but I just can't say no!
Saturday night I saw Gone Girl with my bestie.

I'm home alone for the next few days (I live alone, but BF visits so often that when he's busy, it's like I'm home alone).

I need to read, read, & read my grad school text & get started on some HW I should have started long ago.

I'm going to the big city with some friends tomorrow. We are all eating together, then some of us are going shopping and some of us are going to a movie.

I'm meeting an old high school friend later for some live music and dessert.

Probably talk to my recent EXBF (we "friendzoned") and the guy I just started seeing.

I've been away the past two weekends, so I'm behind in a lot of the household stuff. I've already been out for groceries and am going to donate blood in about half an hour. On the schedule for the rest of the day--making a big pot of soup for the week, marinating a chicken to put in the slow cooker tomorrow, laundry, marking, and getting started on progress report cards.
