I will be teaching pre-first again. They don´t have this grade in the states, nor in most of the schools here. It´s pretty much just the American schools here. It gives the students an extra year between kinder and first grade to develop the language. I teach reading and writing, math, social studies and science, and human development.

Nearly everyone at my school teaches, al of us have classroom experience. I'll be teaching AP European History next year and an Introduction to Law Elective. 15 students in each, it should be nice.

K-2 Emotionally Disturbed for my sixth year. :D

...I had a parent ask me if I smoked crack when they found out how long I've been doing this. I *hope* they were joking.

I will be teaching a gr. 1/2 severe behavior class year. For the previous 6 years I taught a gr.1-6 severe behavior/mild-moderate cognitive delay class. I am so happy to be teaching gr.1/2 this year!

I've got 7th grade social studies. My ideal would be 6th grade social studies or a 6th or 7th grade science. My actual preference would really, really be 4th or 5th grade. I'm thinking of transferring in the 14-15 school year.

I interned last fall, and started of permanent position in January. So even though I have 6 months of officially teaching under my belt, I am still a new teacher this upcoming year.

My official notice just reads elementary special ed. I have no reason to think I'm moving, so I believe I'll be starting year 12 in 4th grade. Unbelievable, but I love it. I taught K-6 my first year, and 6-8 my second year.

Year 6th in 3rd grade, here I come!

I applied for an elementary AP position in a county near me that just became vacant, but I'm not counting on it.

I'll be teaching 4 sections of 6th grade ELA. It remains to be seen if one of those sections is an advanced class or if everything will be mixed. I'm excited either way for a new year! :D

I will be teaching either 4th, 3rd, or 6th. I'm ready for a change after what feels like a million years in 6th. I've got some prospects, but nothing is set in stone. Hopefully I'll have an update soon!

This summer, I'm teaching 2nd graders who are entering 3rd grade. I'm giving them an overview of the key standards they'll be learning as 3rd graders. I not only feel like my learning curve is going up, but I also feel energized about teaching concepts I've never taught before.

I love 2nd graders and I'll be happy to get a new crop of 'em in August, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying 3rd grade curriculum!

    Change can be good!

I don't know either. It's similar to last year, but not quite the same. I was really hoping to have a classroom, but alas, it wasn't to be.

After 5 years teaching 1st grade, I'll begin my 6th year of teaching in 3rd grade! I love my firsties, but it was really taking a toll on my health, so I'm thrilled to move to 3rd!

This will be my fifth year in 3rd grade--I can't believe it! I was so scared when I was moved down from 5th, but I don't know if I'd want to go back up...

It will also be my last year at my school, so it will be bittersweet. I'm getting married next summer and will be moving for his job. :)
But I seriously LOVE my school, and I know that I will really miss it. :(

I'm beginning my third year in special ed. I'll have K and 1st students with mild/moderate behavior issues and 2nd and 3rd students with mild/moderate behavior and academic issues. Technically, I teach resource (some push-in, mostly pull-out), but I have a few students that may spend the majority of the day with me.
