Least Favorites -- World History (My teacher popped in documentary-type movies EVERY day. It was awful.) and Biology

I'm pretty geeky by nature. I really liked everything just fine. I always struggled with chemistry for some reason, so it's not a favorite.

I find learning in general to be interesting. My electives in both high school and college were really varied. I had to argue with them in high school to let me take typing since it wasn't a class for college-bound kids. I really wanted it, and it was very helpul.

I love history/american government/world geography and literature ---also art classes and FCS classes were great! I miss having time every day to paint and draw just for fun!

I really struggled with Math and some sciences (usually ones heavy in math)

Though now I have began to get a great appreciation for Math. I loved Chemistry in HS, but then I had two horrible Biology teachers in a row. It was terrible. That made me REALLY have science.

Favorites: math and science, although Physics perplexed me. I just didn't get it until college.

Least favorites: English-blech. Especially grammar and reading and analyzing novels. How tedious. And I'd think I analyzed it just fine only to find out that my analysis was not what my English teacher thought was fine.

2+2=4. End of story. Every time. Ahhh....

Not adding anything, just expanding on what you know. Besides that, base ten counting systems are younger than other bases, so technically, we're adding stuff, not the other way around :D

Exactly my feelings. I was a poor math student, but I love teaching it, and have been the advanced/gifted math teacher for the past ten years except for this year when we departmentalized and I got writing. It all suddenly made sense to me when I learned to teach it.

I hate teaching reading. Yet I am an avid reader, and loved reading when I was a kid. (Literature taken everywhere I went, long bike rides to the library...) I hate teaching it because I hate listening to kids stumble over words or not "get it".

I HATED science. I had a teacher tell me that the only way she would pass me would be if I promised that I would never do anything with science when I grew up. Now I am a science teacher and constantly have parents tell me that their children like science for the first time every. Haha!
