You are right. Peruna is a him.

I read on Wikapedia yesterday when posting this that he is reported to have spent the night in each sorority house. I thought that was funny...Way to go P!

I have a BA, a MA, and part of a second MA from Eastern Kentucky University. We're the Colonels.

Originally I was going to Transylvania University (Pioneers), but I went to the summer session of EKU and really liked it there. So, when fall came, I went back to EKU instead of going on to Transy.

My dad's company paid for my BA, and they were happy when I chose EKU (at around $1000 a semester) instead of Transy (at around $10,000 a semester). Those prices make me sound really old. Graduate classes at EKU were $325 each when I got my first masters. They're over $1000 each now.

I was enrolled at EKU and then made a change just before school started.

And double eek for Transy's tuition...I have a colleague who attended the school and while I can see paying that much for certain careers that require a certain "prestige", I can't wrap my brain around going there for a teaching degree. That probably sounds horrible because I know it's more than just the end result, but goodness!

University of Connecticut! The UConn mascot is a white Husky named Jonathan, and our colors are the blue of the US flag and white. Our womens' basketball team ROCKS!

Got my MA from Cal State Northridge, the Matadors, colors red and black. DD is a San Jose State Spartan, colors royal blue and golden yellow.

At the time I enrolled at Transy, I was a biology/chemistry major, but I'd also toyed around with the idea of an English degree and law school. I ended up with the English degree from EKU, after trying social work for awhile.

I am not sure if this is up-to-date, but historically the U. of KY has a strong community college system. http://www.uky.edu/CommunityColleges/

UK added the "technical" part to the name. There originally were several community colleges throughout Kentucky, and then they joined all of them together and made them "official" under one name with UK.

I can't believe I've never heard anyone reference the Kentucky Community and Technical College System as University of Kentucky's community college system. I mean, I know they've partnered together much like Western Kentucky University has...I just didn't know it was considered UK's community college. That's what you're saying, right?

*And just in case this is coming across as argumentative, it's not supposed to! I'm just interested. :p

    University of NEBRASKA! Go HUSKERS!!

The mascots are Herbie Husker and Lil' Red. The school has also been known as the Hawkeyes (which we surrendered to Iowa), the Antelopes (which was taken by UNKearney later), the Old Gold Knights, the Bugeaters, and the Mankilling Mastadons (how fun!).

The university is full of traditions, but football rules all. Volleyball too.

I also attended the University of NE-Kearney. They are the Lopers (Antelopes).

The other University is UNOmaha-the Mavericks. We have several state colleges also. Wayne State, Peru State, Chadron State, and private colleges Doane, Dana, and Hastings.

By the way, all you Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State people...be on notice...we're ready to kick butt in the BIG 10! Although I am a little sad that we won't be getting the chance to beat up on Texas anymore (and give Major a hard time!) I am definitely seeing a Huskers/Penn State conference championship game in 2011!
