The TV thread got me thinking, what show DVDs do you have? :) My list:

Sweet Valley High - 1st & only season...wanted to get because I was an extra in the pilot episode! :D

I Love Lucy - all seasons
    Melrose Place - all seasons
    original 90210 - all seasons (I think!)
    The Cosby Show - seasons 2 & 3
    Family Ties - seasons 1, 2, & 3 I think
Jamie Fox Show - 1st & only season that came out
    Models, Inc. - all seasons...it was short-lived

(Probably have about 75 DVD movies by now.)

None. I don't have the space and would never watch them beyond the first time, if that. That's what Netflix is for.

The first two seasons of Breaking Bad, only because my daughter bought them for me. Love the show, but I only buy DVDs of things I'll watch more than once or that I can use at school.

This is true. I had gotten those before my Netflix account. I haven't watched one episode from those DVDs since I first bought the sets.

OK, I will admit to owning the complete collection of Star Trek, series and movies, and my husband has amassed several seasons of Green Acres, The Honeymooners, more Gunsmoke than you can shake a stick at, and all of Keeping Up Appearances. The son has a much larger selection of the BBC comedies. The DVDs that are nature related I just palm off as school supplies!

I have the first four seasons of Gilmore Girls, many seasons of the Office, and some early seasons of Psych. I got them all before netflix online streaming was really a thing. I was just considering getting the rest of Gilmore Girls because I still love that show, but it was just announced that it's finally coming to netflix. The show has been off the air since 2007!

Um, quite a few, but trying to remember would be hard. All of Gilmore Girls, X Files, some House, LOST, 24, and honestly a good handful more. And plenty of movies. My wife is the big collector - I'm more of a watch-once-and-then-done kind of person (though I was the one who really wanted the LOST & 24 :))

I have all five seasons of Queer as Folk on DVD.

Normally I don't buy anything on DVD, and I don't really even care for television in general. I didn't have access to fast enough internet to stream anything. No local video stores rented it. So . . . I just bought it as each season was released.

Ooh - I forgot about Diva. No DVDs, but the series is recorded and saved in the huge hard drive we have just for the DVR. I really liked that show. :thumb:

Gilmore Girls on Netflix was the best news ever!! :thumb:

I prefer TV to movies, so I'm much more likely to buy a show on DVD than a movie. A lot of my/our TV shows were purchased pre-Netflix, or before certain shows were online. Some of the shows we have (ie Castle, Friends) are still not available online - at least not on a legitimate streaming site.

We have the entire series of:
    Gilmore Girls
    Friends
    Boy Meets World

    We have some seasons of:
    CSI:NY
    Castle
    Grey's Anatomy
    The Office

Many of you have Gilmore Girls! Long ago, I was thinking of buy those seasons. However, it's just not one of those shows I care to see repeatedly, but I did like the show.

I only watched mine once. Of course, I only bought them because I couldn't see it otherwise. I've loaned them to a couple of people. I don't even have a DVD player hooked up to my televisions anymore.

One of my friends has hundreds of DVD's. She doesn't have cable.

I have quite a few DVD shows plus watch so much current TV now that I don't recall ever yet watching a DVD collection of mine more than once, but I'm sure I will at some point. I still don't regret buying them.

I personally like to bring out a show I'm in the mood for & gradually watch them from start to finish (all the seasons). Of course this may take months to get through all of them. Watching the old shows sometimes brings back good old memories. I think about how old I was back when the show was actually airing on TV & what I was doing in my life back then. That's as far as the nostalgia goes!

I have movies on DVD..all 5 of the ROCKY movies, All 3 Godfather movies, Forrest Gump, Rain Man, etc.

I watch TV LAND & TBS a lot and get a bunch of TV shows I love; Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, King of Queens, etc.

I also have another cable channel here called MeTV and it has all the oldies that I loved when I was a kid, some of my favorites; Cheers, Golden Girls, The Odd Couple, Taxi, etc. so I really just enjoy that!

Yes. Some more than others. The ones that are online now don't get watched anymore. My Gilmore Girls DVDs have been watched and rewatched multiple times. My Friends DVDs are new because I recently (finally) got into that show, but it will get watched repeatedly as well.

Hooray!! I didn't watch today, but I did scroll through all the seasons just to see them there. Lol!

That show is a guilty pleasure. I could watch reruns for hours. I especially loved the earlier seasons from about 10-12 years ago.

I do, that's why I bought them! When I first moved out here, I had no internet, no cable, lived in a tiny town with nothing to go "explore", didn't know a single person, and wasn't starting work for a week. My Psych and Gimore Girls dvds totally kept me sane that week. I also take my laptop and one of my tv series any time I fly so that I can watch on the plane. I take 8-10 flights a year, but flying still makes me nervous. My shows are a great distraction!

I also have all seasons of Gilmore Girls on DVD.

I purchased them back when the show was on TV, before the Netflix days. I still watch them all from beginning to end. (Well, seasons 1-5. I hate 6&7.) I'll never get sick of it. Love that show!

    Ditto!

I usually skip 6&7 on my rewatches. I do watch the series finale, though. I never get sick of it either. :D
