Ok so this may seem weird but I'm always so nervous to sign my kids yearbooks. I never really know what to write in them, also my handwriting is terrible. I never really signed/asked others to sign my own yearbooks in school because of this.

What do you guys write in them(specifically high school teachers). Do you have any resources/suggestions? Thanks.

I had my first year booking signing the other day. I am only a long-term sub, so it was very special for me. I wrote a generic sweet phrase then signed. "Thank you for being such an amazing shining star! Good luck next year! Ms. CatfaceMeowmers"

She seemed pretty happy either way :)

I think as long as you keep it professional and wish them well you're good. Don't put too much pressure on yourself. I honestly can't remember what my teachers wrote in my yearbooks. I remember how I was treated in their classes the most

I usually put a limerick into their book. I can usually find a rhyme for one of their names and can link one or two lines to the subject I teach them.

The thing they seem to like best is that I sign it with my first name!

LOL.....I often think of the old M*A*S*H television series when the subject of yearbooks pops up. They were under the impression that peace was imminent in one episode, so a premature celebration was started. The "Radar" character was going from person-to-person asking them to sign his memory book. The "Trapper John" character merely wrote, "Compliments of a Friend" and the character "Hawkeye" wrote, "This is the best restaurant I ever ate in!" (LOL!)

Seriously though, I think writing "Congratulations......" or "Best of luck next year......(in college or chosen profession)", something like that is more than enough and appropriate.

Our kids don't write in yearbooks, but if they did, I'd write something like "wishing you all the best next year!".

Just put this one in a book

A girl we all know as Kate
Said "Science I'm leaving to fate"
    "rates of reactions
    and petroleum fractions
are something I've grown to hate".

"I wish you the best of luck in the future." ~ Ms. Go Blue!

If I'm in a rush; I just sign my name with a heart in front of it and keep it moving.

Since I teach Hamlet, I usually use a quote from the play: "This above all: to thine own self be true."

This year I wrote inspirational Disney quotes in everyone's book. Then I ended it with "Good luck on your next great adventure."
