Why do I find thinking of strategies for RTI so difficult? There should be book with a list in them? HELP!

I have one student who struggles in math.

There's a book called the Pre-Intervention Manual. Our special education department has it, makes no sense to me, but that's who bought it. Anyway, it has lists of strategies for a lot of different things.

What specific skills are these students struggling with?

I second the Pre-Referral Intervention Manual. It's got list after list of strategies for every possible issue. My only problem with it is that many of the "strategies" are simplistic...but if they count when you need evidence of interventions you've tried, then it's a gold mine. And some of the ideas are good.

I've found good stuff by doing a pinterest search on RTI and the subject. I'm doing it with first graders and phonics and I found a lot of good ideas that way.
