This is a beautiful 2.5 minute song by Ellie Goulding.

Reminds me of a very special person who used to be in my life.

I love this song!!! I'm making kind of a motivation PowerPoint program for my kids right before testing and plan on using this song.

IDK why, it's not my usual genre, but right now I'm loving Say Something by A Great Big World.

    Happy by Pharrell
Came on at the gym the other day and I couldn't stop grinning. That song puts me in a good mood no matter what.

I recently discovered that Iggy Pop recorded "Louie Louie."

Just a lot of 60's garage and instrumental surf music.

OK--I must be old or just listen to too much country music because I have never heard of any song that is listed here. I mostly listen to Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Pistol Annies, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Reba, and the classics like Hank Williams Sr. and Jr., Merle Haggard, Air Supply, George Jones, Conway Twitty, and Albama. I also listen to lots of old rock like Queen, Foreigner, Kiss, and any other 70's rock.

MikeTeachesMath and his husband recorded a cover of Royals by Lorde. It is amazing, better than the original, and is my go-to song to brighten my mood. Playing it now.

I Prefer Praise and Worship Songs

    1. We Believe by The Newsboys I can't stop crying every time I hear this beautiful song.
    2. This Is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham This song tells me how much I am beyond grateful for the grace and forgiveness Jesus has given me for my own past.
    3. Your Grace Finds Me by Matt Redman Such an awesome worship song by the grammy winner himself.
    4. Overcomer by Mandisa So grateful she won a grammy for this awesome inspirational song.
    5. I'm Alive by Hillsong Young and Free "Great aerobic and dance beat, would make you want to do some serious workouts to!"

I hate country music! Something about all the twanging triggers the anger part of my brain....Seriously! It's like hearing it just sort of flips a switch in my emotional control center and I just get so mad for no reason other than the crappy music!

I just discovered that there is a whole set of rock-songs-turned-lullabies. I've been playing the Tool one today and it's amazing.

I am slightly obsessed with Miranda's duet with Justin Moore, "Bad Habits". Play it on a loop. :)

I also love "Say Something", but the version with Christina.

I wasn't surprised to see that mine is on several other people's lists. I love the song "Happy" by Pharell. Just puts me in a good mood, which is much needed lately...

I was clueless about "Happy" so I looked it up. It wasn't familiar until I guess the chorus...I must have heard it on a commercial or Ellen. Don't like it at all, though.

I've only heard that one a few times so I don't know it too well yet. I do like most of her songs. I'd take her twang over the rappers who curse too much and indecent ladies parading around as "artists" any day.

    I hear you

I was watching an info-commercial from TimeLife and it was the "Power of Love:" collection I looked in my iTunes and I have 97% of the songs so I decided not to buy but make my own Power of Love collection. I had better have them since my iTunes library has 13,762 songs in it
