I want to switch some of my school stuff to a Kindle fire because they are so inexpensive ($40 right now, down 20% from $50 which is also cheap.) I currently have an iPad and have been through a whole lot of apps among which I found a lot of duds and a lot of great ones. As an iPad user, I know nothing about Kindle apps. What do you recommend? I'm interested in anything just for the sake of my own learning, but for the kids - this year I have Kindergarten and PreK (I do special intervention with individual kids within mainstream classes.) So we're talking a lot of phonics, plus social skills, self-regulation, and general cognitive/language skills like following directions, memory, storytelling, visual processing, you get the idea. Thanks!
