Ms. I, I had no idea that you liked tennis! I am pretty much addicted to watching tennis all the time. It kills me when I have to teach a class when there's an important match going on. I sometimes still play tennis now, but haven't found much time to do so.

Other than that, I love shopping, watching tv, hanging out with friends from college (I went to a women's college and made some really great friends who I miss a lot), and cooking. I also love participating in my religious organization--on Sundays during the school year, I teach 9-13 year olds.

Rock-climbing (having problems finding a belay partner though), archaeology, traveling/roadtrips, piano (if I could finally get enough money to buy a digital one I could start playing again), web design, reading about science research, broadening my knowledge of physics and astrophysics, making DIY science equipment (like a Van De Graaf generator, a digital spectrometer, or a centrifuge), reading fantasy, watching sci-fi, and eating. xD

My indoor activities include counted cross-stitch, sewing, and painting wood/ceramics. I'd like to give oil painting a try. My mom does that. I do love to read.

My outdoor activities include gardening. I like to fish, but I don't do it very often. I love to hike as long as the humidity isn't bad. I just joined a gym, and I'm glad to be back in the workout habit. I hadn't worked out in about 15 years. Felt good to do that again.

I'm thinking about joining a gym, but I have no idea if I'll be able to keep it up with the consistency in going. I'd kind of like to get a gym partner too, but they're so expensive these days, it's almost cheaper to just pay on a visit by visit basis.

Yes, I DVR the matches when the grand slams are going on. My goal is to attend all 4 of them one day. So far, I've been to the US Open back when Sampras was still playing. It's a great sport. I even belong to a tennis discussion board.

I belong to one too. :) I would love to do the same! I went to the US Open in 2006, but we're going to try to go back next year. The other 3 might not happen though.

    Wattson,
Are you a teacher? Do you teach Math?
Is English your second language? A lot of the English Majors on this site can help you with the wording of your posts. They would be honored to help you. :hugs:
When you ask a question like this, you have to state it as
What are your hobbies? You are asking for more than one hobby, so you have to use are, instead of is.
Welcome to A to Z, and where you are from, originally.:)

At this point, my hobbies tend to be more centered around home, family and career.

I love researching vacations, as you've probably already noticed.

I'm a total weather geek, and a total news geek.

    I love to read.

    I love to shovel snow.

But mostly I love hanging out with my family and friends. I'm very content to spend an evening in the back yard with Peter and the kids, or with my neighbors, over a glass or two of wine.

When I hit empty nest syndrome, I'll get back to a lot of the hobbies I simply don't have time or inclination for new-- like embroidery. But for now, it's pretty much all about family and friends.

Great, I also went to at least 5 other tournaments: The Acura Classic down by San Diego, one at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Vegas, another at the Home Depot Center in Carson, one at the Staples Center in LA, & my first one eons ago at the UCLA campus when Richard Krajicek was still playing.

I LOVE Goran Ivanisevic! I was so glad when he finally won Wimbledon that year. I wish he had won a lot more grand slams before retiring.

I've never lived in a town with a gym. When I used to work out, I took aerobics or kickboxing and weight training at a local school gym. The instructor worked at a gym in a neighboring county, and she came twice a week to have classes. On the other days, I'd walk in town.

My chiropractor opened a gym here in town, and I finally took the plunge. I joined last Thursday, and I've been every day. My plan is to do weights Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and then walk the other days. So far, so good. I pay $25 a month for 24/7 access.

Neo-Classical electric guitar is my "venting" time nightly. It makes you think and it's really rewarding when you hit it right, which takes tons of reps and practice. It's very involved stuff. It's good for you, like vitamans! hahahahahahahaha

If you're wondering what that is................................

What's an OP and what's so embarassing about the thread's title? I get that it should read "What are your hobbies?" Is that the only problem?
