What is the difference between the credentials: ptc2, tc2, and SB 2042?

I need to update my credential information on edjoin and realized that I have no clue which one I have. I looked it up on ctc, but none of these terms are referred on my credential.

    Anyone know?

I have a clear multiple subject credential.

No one know, eh? Alright, well, I just picked tc2 and moved on. Need to get this in. I think that's what I picked the last time.

"SB 2042" is a (possibly preliminary?) credential issued after 2003. "PCTC" is a "professional clear teaching credential", which for SB 2042 credentials would mean satisfying the induction requirement. "TCC" is a "temporary county credential" issued to someone whose paperwork hasn't come back from Sacramento yet. I found all these here: http://www.ctc.ca.gov/glossary/glossary.html. I'm not seeing PTC or TC2... but what you might want to do is look yourself up at https://teachercred.ctc.ca.gov/teachers/PersonalSearchProxy.

Hmmm, well, I remember, though when I started at the university, they mentioned something about the Ryan not being offered anymore. Although, I have a bad memory.... so, maybe so then?

Okay, then maybe not. Fortunately for me, I don't do credentialing.

    From EDJOIN Jobseeker Helpdesk:

The TC2 is the Multiple Subject credential issued in years prior to 2000 under the Ryan Act.

    The PTC2 is a Preliminary TC2 Credential.

The TCMS is the SB 2042 Multiple Subject credential issued since the year 2000, which includes the English Learner (CLAD).

    Ah, why thank you.

Do you work for edjoin? If so, we need a fellow like you on this board. :D
