Every summer my family and I have the best intentions to get out and do something out of the ordinary. Some summers we get it done while other summers just slip away from us. This summer, we're planning a drive out to Washington in August to see the northern part of the U.S. What about you? What's on your Bucket List for this summer?

My summer is almost gone. Two more weeks for me!

I got two tattoos. Love them!

I also started dating. That was a big, big step for me. I was holding tight to my jaded divorcee status.

I have a free 1-day car rental that expires this month. I better take advantage of it & go somewhere fun with it!

I wanted to invite my 2 cousins to my place for a visit. I haven't seen them in years, so I hope this happens!

I did want to get together with a friend or two & I'll be doing that with one of them next week!

I'd love to fly to San Francisco for a few days, but I don't know if I can.

I had ONE thing on my list for this summer: get a job!

I accomplished that and the rest is just fun and relaxation and some worrying thrown in there : )

I only have three weeks left - and only one of those at home! I definitely need to hit the beach next week... if I can only avoid all of the rain.

I decided to be very ambitious this summer. Only working 1 job instead of 2, and may move next year so....

-clean sweep/purge the house - mostly done

-finish the bathroom renovation (seriously stalled by husband)

-paint the kitchen cabinets - in the middle of chaos now - doing myself due to husband's stalling

-replace kitchen counters - hopefully, in August

-paint kitchen and do little stuff - next week

-do repairs/renovations to other bathroom - after kitchen?

-organize children's (who are no longer children) memorabilia, school stuff, etc. - sorted, filed and put in boxes

-organize photos - got them all in one place. Want to buy a scanner and digitize them. Hopefully, done before I die, lol.

Not sounding like much fun, but is producing loads of satisfaction and feelings of accomplishment. Hope I don't end up regretting not resting enough.

It's not really a bucket list item, but I'm getting my arms in shape. My goals is to have transformed arms by the end of the summer.

    1. Complete my 1st semester of grad school (two more classes to go!)

    2. Vacation w/DH (week after next)

    3. Vacation w/my girls (1st week of august)

    4. Complete my 2nd novel (first book was a dark, fantasy fiction w/lots of mythology, some violence and tragedy. Now I'm working on a light-hearted ''chick lit'' that I feel good about b/c it's such a fun, easy write.)

    5. Get back in the gym and on a running plan

    6. Prepare a pregnancy portfolio so I can have some idea of what to expect once I'm expecting (ie: budget, vitamins i'll need, daycare options, costs of baby supplies, finding a good ob/gyn, looking into what my insurance plan so I know what's covered, compiling a list of baby names(that's mostly just for fun), discussing expectations and child rearing stuff w/DH, etc)

 SAME!!!! It's on my list every summer (and winter and spring and fall) but the task is so daunting. I have pictures mixed up in albums and boxes and on the computer and on CDS and dated and not dated.... even thinking about it makes me feel dizzy.

I planned out what I'll be doing with my FREE car rental that I'll have for the day! My BF will drive us all around L.A. It will be a total of just about 200 miles worth of driving, but that's the point...it's no wear & tear on our cars!

    1) Farmer's Market - getting my pesto I love there
    2) Stroll/shop nice area of unique shops by the water
    3) Reservations at this Brazilian Steakhouse...1x time there
    4) Shopping malls - 1 indoor & 1 outdoor next to ea other
    5) Hobby shop
    6) Bristol Farms grocery store to p/u some goodies
    7) IKEA quick stop towards going back home

Getting married kind of took up most of my summer...a week by my parents first, then up to his hometown a few weeks beforehand. By the time we got back from our honeymoon, I had just over two weeks left. Now I'm trying to get in a few relaxing days at home, along with tackling the organization nightmare created by my husband moving into my apartment. We're also starting to look for a house, and he's CRAZY busy with his new job! As wonderful as it's been, it has been chaotic, and I'm afraid I'm not going to feel like I had much of a summer!
