Eragon is authentic student work. I think the best way to know what's inauthentic is to know your students.
Depends on whether by "non-authentic" you intend 'plagiarized' or 'artificial/multiple-choice/non-project'.
I was asked to present "authentic student work" as opposed to just "student work." It kind of confused me.
To me, authentic work means something that has meaning or purpose , while regular student work would not matter outside of the classroom context. Examples of Authentic vs Non-Authentic Work: -Writing a letter to a grandparent vs writing a fake letter ("pretend you are writing to a grandparent to thank them for a gift") -Creating a student newspaper vs summarizing a recent news event in a journal -Building planter boxes for a school garden vs completing a worksheet on cubic measurement
For me 'authentic' means custom-written not plagiarised paper. 'Non-authentic' paper means plagiarised paper. I use Unicheck to check the authenticity of papers submitted to me.
This is the same way I have understood these words to be used too. In the old days, lol, it meant ( to me) if the kid did the work instead of his mom.
