Why? I was absolutely certain I wanted to teach Pre-K or Kindergarten. The more I read, the more I think maybe 2nd grade (there seem to be a lot of 2nd grade teachers)...maybe even 1st??

I've taught K, 2, and 3 over the last 4 years. I'm currently in 2nd. I love all of the grades. I teach all subjects except for the specials (gym, music, computers, art, and library).

I teach 3rd and I'm requesting a grade change to 4th for next year. I love 3rd grades, but I realized I enjoy them more toward the end of the school year. They seem to be more mature and independent by that time. I've always felt that I am an intermediate teacher, so I think 4th grade will be a nice transition for me.

I teach kindergarten to 8th grade. My favorite grades are kindergarten or middle school math. (last year I worked in first grade, and the two yrs before that I worked with kindergarten to 3rd graders).

I teach middle school (7th grade) Language Arts. I wouldn't change for the world! :) We'll see if they change my grade level next year though with them having to move some staff around!

I always wanted to teach 2nd grade. When I was hired and told I would be teaching 5th grade I was scared to death (some of the kids were taller than me)! But, I love it! I can have discussions and joke with them. They are responsible for their work and they still have a good attitude about school.

I currently teach kinder. I want to try pre-k. I started my first year with a combo class 1/2 (or should I say k/1/2.... there was a kinder accidently placed in my class:confused: ). I ended the school year with 1st grade. I student taught 2nd & 4th. I definitely like the little ones! I heard 2nd is the best.

I'm certified up through 3rd. I student taught in 2nd, after having placements in college in 2's, K, and 1st. When I graduated, I worked as an aide for autistic kids who were lower elementary. Last year, I taught PreK special ed. This year, I'm at a childcare center teaching 3's.

I'm REALLY hoping for public school next year... I've always seen myself as a Kindergarten teacher, but I'd be equally happy in 1st/2nd. My CT said she thought I'd be grat in 3rd, too.

When I worked at summer camp, I had (on different weeks) kids ranging from entering 2nd- young high school (I didn't do the HS camps usually but had some 7-9th grade or 7-12th grade groups). I've always said I HATe jr. high kids, but the week I had horseback riding camp with 14 7th-10th grade girls was one of my favorite weeks all summer... maybe it was because I could do something DIFFERENT in my Bible studies, maybe because I'd had most of them the year before in beginner horseback riding, maybe because it was the first all-girls group I'd gotten to work with, maybe it was because of the other girl I was partnered with, who knows why. I never thought I'd enjoy those kids, but I did. I couldn't do it all year, and I HATe the boys that age... but it was a plesant surprise! :)

I teach preschool (3-5) and have also taught in child care 2 1/2 yr olds. I have student taught/had practicum experience with K, 2nd, and 3rd. I'm not really sure if I would like to switch or not. I really like being able to do fun, hands-on activities which would not be allowed in 1st through 3rd because their curriculum is all text book based :(

I have taught 5-12 grade English at one time. Currently, I am a middle school (6-8) media specialist or librarian. Are there any other librarians out there?
