I can't keep much in my room because I have precious little space that locks. I do keep advil and extra feminine products in my bag and a change of clothes in the trunk of my car. I don't live very far from where I work, so, as somebody else said, if disaster struck, I could go home rather quickly.

I've got the femine products, some weight watchers friendly snacks, heels (from my job interview and I've never brought home), deordorant, lotion, and a little sewing kit. I also keep a fleece at school, b/c it's always freezing!

I take my IPOD to and from school every day. I have a little speaker set and listen to it before and after the kids leave.

I usually go running before I go home in the evenings, so I bring running clothes and shoes with me almost every day.

tampons, advil, CHAPSTICK (Burt's bees), hair ties, vaseline, nail clippers, rain coat.

There are lots of things I BRING to school and never BRING back!

Right now in my trunk I have:

    cookie sheets
    a sleeping bag
    running shoes
    a pillow
    a hippie costume
    my swim suit
    a sweat shirt
    a purple sheet

I also had a lot more at school but brought it home already- like 4 lunch bags, tons of tupperware, and so much more. I have way more space at school than at home and some things get there and just stay awhile.

My trunk also serves as a "mobile office" for things I need at both jobs but are too expensive to buy multiples of. I swear I got laughed at by the storage space gods cause I don't have any real usable space at either job....and I have a whole office at the college.

    I keep:

toothpaste and toothbrush (only because I have braces and I would brush before I went to my orthodontic appointments)
    maxi pads
    Motrin
    hand lotion
a sweater if it gets cold
slippers which I wear often during the day
    snacks
    Cokes

People joke that I could live in my room, and the kids always know that if they need something I probably have it. Right off the top of my head, here are the things in my closet/desk:

    knit capris & t-shirt
    tennis shoes
    socks
    underwear
    jeans
    slippers
    washcloth
    soap
    deoderant
    hair dryer
    brush
    make-up
    baby powder
    lotion
    feminine products
two days of all my medication
    antacids
    tylenol
    chapstick
    clear nail polish
    nail clippers
    nail file
    safety pins
    hair clip
    saline solution
    glasses
    change
    forks, spoons, plates, bowls, cups
    food--in mouse-proof containers
    flashlight
    tool kit
    cough drops
    cold medicine
    salt/pepper/mustard/ketchup/butter
    toothpicks
    toothbrush & paste & mouthwash & floss
    sewing kit

I hate needing something and not having it. If I've ever needed it, I've probably taken it to work and left it there.

hahaha, I have this happen all the time! My friends just don't understand why we'll sometimes be at my apartment and if they ask for something I'll reply with, "oh, it's at school."

I forgot my jump drives....I have four of them. One has all of my IEP forms on it, one is for pictures, one is for my professional stuff (trainings, letters of recommendation, resume, etc.), and one is new because I'm always filling them up. :)

Extra coat and sweater, female products, tylenol, water, soup, crackers, pretzels, granola bars, lip gloss, lotion, dental floss, gum, mints, brush, foundation, blush, tea, sweetner, popcorn...I think that's it. I've just slowly accumulate things over the year and I try to refill it when I run out.

Thanks for the tidbit. I never thought about extras like blouses, blazers, heels, etc...

Pretty much the basics.....toothbrush/toothpaste, brush, tylenol, sweaters, a million shoes because I kick them off and walk around in flipflops and take those home.

    Oh and an iron.
