We also assess concepts of print. Some that I can remember off the top of my head are:
    • Understands that print carries meaning
    • Understands and uses environmental print
    • Uses print resources in the classroom
    • Follows/tracks print as it is read
    • Understands that print reads left to right
We also assess "speaking and listening"
    • Speaks in complete sentences
    • Expresses wants and needs clearly to teacher
    • Listens with increasing attention
    • Understands and follows simple oral directions
We have some science/ss concepts such as:
    • living/non-living
    • beginning to observe changes in environment (seasons, weather)
    • identifies roles of community members (community helpers)
We must identify their stages of writing for each report card.
    Identifies first name
    Writes first name
    Identifies names of classmates

That's all I can think of right now...
