I've heard of various options: paper, fabric, plastic tablecloths from the dollar store, bed sheets, etc. What have you used? What are the pros and cons? Thanks!

I use fabric. I have had the same fabric up for 3 years and it still looks great. No fading.

I've had the same fabric on my boards since our school opened in 1998.

I use fabric on the large eye-level bulletin boards, which my students and I use often. It lasts forever and doesn't fade. I use butcher paper on a couple of long, thin bulletin boards at the top of the walls. I think it would be a waste of fabric to use it in on those boards, because I keep the same things up there each year. The paper has held up well.

I have fabric that I bought from Walmart. I love it! I have black and purple both with damask designs on them. They look really nice, and are not too busy when paired with what is on my boards. I love that my fabric can be used from year to year before needing to be replaced.

I just hate, hate, hate dealing with butcher paper! I can never get it to look right.

I got fabric two years ago and it still looks great. Spent maybe $7 per bulletin board and I have 3 in my room. One is a bright yellow with a small white flower design on it, the other two have the same fabric, it's black with ABC, 123 and other school type things written in chalk.

I have used fabric and paper. I have seen others use wrapping paper, as well.
