I bought some capers (in vinegar) because I've been wanting to try capers for a long time now. What recipes do you do use them for?

I use them in pasta, puttanesca, steak tartare... there are no rules with capers, though in my opinion they taste better with heavier dishes. Like, I would never use capers as a main ingredient, more add them into the mix for a specific flavor.

I love making sauces with them.

I don't like capers, so I don't use them. Rachael Ray loves them, though, and has a million recipes for them. You might want to start looking at some of her stuff.

I throw them away. I don't like them. Wish I did because so many times I read a recipe and it sounds great until I get to the capers.

I had a chicken dish one time that had capers. It was decent, but I wouldn't make it a point to order it again. I agree that the capers should be part of a sauce or something.

I like chopping them instead of using them whole. They are good with chicken sautéd with butter and lemon.

I use them lightly as an accent. I think of them as similar to olives. I have eaten them in restaurants, mainly in sauces.

I didn't like them until adulthood. I used to find them bitter, now I just find them delicious! I don't really cook with them, but they are great in various sauces (like with chicken), on pasta, and I love them with bagels and lox and all the fixings. :)

I finely chop them and add to my olive oil and apple cider vinegar salad dressing.

I make a couscous salad with chickpeas, tomatoes, green onions, and capers (sometimes with grilled chicken thrown in), and topped with feta.

I use them in dishes like chicken piccata and chicken marabella. If you go to some recipe websites you can enter an ingredient and it will give you recipes that use that ingredient. I have to say I never really liked them and used to pick them out of my dishes (I know there was a King of Queens episode where Carrie asked for no capers at a restaurant and was mad when she got them). I've learned to like them though.
