After a week of snow days, I'm tired of being stuck indoors. What do you do when you're bored?
Good time to clean your guns!!!!!!!!
(Duck Major duck.........:lol::lol::lol
Your looking at it! I jump on AtoZ and see what's going on with all my online buddies.
Major, are you telling yourself to duck from the possible misfire of cleaning the guns, or is that said in more of a James Bond tone?
I exercise, go shopping, plan future lessons, hang out with friends, watch a good movie, or read a good book.
Major-you sound like my dad.
I tend to read, a lot. I do that anyway, but when I'm bored I might do it a little more. Play video games on my computer, watch movies I haven't seen in a while. I'm going to go rent Pride and Prejudice tonight. I have the newest version, but can you believe I haven't seen any other versions.
Right now I am on day 2 of rearranging my classroom.
Without my TV & internet, I'd be bored out of my mind. I could watch TV & be on the computer all day & into the night. I also have a ton a beauty & fashion magazines that I still need to read.
Here's other things:
Read a good mystery novel
Play video games
If a friend is w/ you, play Scrabble, Checkers, or other board game
Find a work-from-home job (I recently started this! It will be fun & I'm so excited about it)
My dad and I also worked on a puzzle. It was 3-D, and actually hard.
I'd clean my guns, but they're so dang clean now what would be the point?
I'm with the "hang out on-line" group. Or play video games (I must sheepishly admit to being a grand theft auto fan).
Some teachers don't appreciate guns......
I've never had a "misfire".... Never clean a loaded firearm..
I must not have a life outside of school and my home because when I am bored I search for new centers or activities or read about a new teaching method. Oh, sometimes I play a video game or go walking. Does it matter that I listen to Spanish tapes while walking?
All those should be great for fighting boredom
.... Walking is great...... except I listen to the Blues (Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, etc)
I would have so much fun firing a gun!!! I've always wanted to go to a shooting range. My family always thought I was much sensitive. My hubby must think so too because he just looked at me and said, "You know you're going to cry because of the loud noise?" "Do you even know how to hold a gun?" "It would knock you down." "You might shoot me instead."
When the weather is nice......which hopefully it will be SOON, I bike ride. I'm an avid biker an love getting out when the weather cooperates.
I also am a pianist, so I love to play as often as possible. It depends on my mood as to what I play. As of late I've been playing lots of New Orleans style blues.
OOOO, I would love to know how to play the piano again. I used to play as a child and in my early adolescence. Sadly, it seems I've lots it all. Guess I'll leave the piano playing to you.
It's NEVER too late. When I gave lessons I taught many adults as well as children. If it is something you have a passion to do.......go for it!
Well..... obviously your Dad is a great guy!!!!!!
Now I know I gotta sub for you......... we will do a firearm inventory......
BTW, in you humid climate you have to check your guns for rust......
corps2005, say not more....... i'm a firearms instructor as well as a personal defense instructor....... let me help you...... and you husband.....
My Ipod is filled with that type of music. I have a few that are particular favorites by those artists. You have good taste.

Well of course he is. Most nights he's working on the computer, or working on a gun of some sort (rebuilding, fixing, cleaning, etc...). Only time he's not is Thursday nights. Those are shooting range nights.
You have a "keeper" for a dad.........

Of course I do. He's really good at anything he does, whether it's gunsmithing, ham radio, anything on computers, woodworking, etc... (you get the idea). Someone who is hard to live up to.
Video games. Nothing gets out your frustration then being trapped inside a zombie-infested mall with a katana, a bench, and an electric guitar. Alternately, playing "Holiday in Combodia" on Guitar Hero 3 while thinking of spoiled students works. Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is my laid back game. There's nothing like designing your own J-Park.
I read a lot. Been on a science fiction kick lately, but I got a whole bunch of Darwin books in honor of Darwin Day.
I game a lot with my friends. Miniature and roleplaying games, mostly.
I've been growing onions outside my condo. They're the ones that started growing in my fridge, so I call them my Zombie Onions, Bub and George.

I twiddle my thumbs and sigh a lot. Like I'm doing now. *siiiiiiiiiigh*
oooooo I'll be watching this thread closely!!! My boyfriend and I's current "discussion" is what to do when we're bored... he goes off and plays videogames and I'm stuck to fend for myself (he likes one player games ). Most times it's okay but I wish there was something we could do together or something I enjoyed so much I can do it for as many hours as he spends playing.
Dang this writers strike! I'm bored with TV!
I read when I'm bored, too, but I'm at work and bored so unless I want to read "Froggy's First Kiss" again...
I've never gotten stuck home due to snow days. If I was stuck in for a snow day, I'd watch some classic comedy movies, catch up online, and maybe make some activities for school. I'm one of those who can't seem to stop doing school work.

You could always start renting seasons of TV shows you missed from the library. That's what we started doing with "Dead Like Me."
I was always a fan of MacGyver when I was little. Now they have the whole series on DVD. So far I have 2 seasons worth.
I play RockBand. I am expert on guitar AND drums. If only those teenage boys online new they were playing an at-home mother of two. I am no longer bored when I can pretend to be in the most AWESOME rock band ever!
I am ROCK GODDESS!
