I hate ironing...haven't done it in 10+ yrs & don't plan on doing it now! I'd also never want to clean out the garage.

I don't iron. But if I didn't do all of the other chores, except the ones outside, then nothing would ever get done.

I don't have a choice on what I can and cannot do. If I don't do it, the magical fairy will not come and do it for me. Mommy won't do it for me. Life is like that. So I cannot REFUSE to do anything.

I'm thinking the same thing. MOst everything has got to get done at some point.

But I can put off forever things like cleaning the gutters. I have got to get up there and clean them out before I end up paying for a new roof.

I hate cleaning the tub. I get grossed out stepping into a sterilized hotel tub, and yet I can shower in grime at my own home simply because I hate cleaning it. I will barter any other chore to get rid of that one.

And yet, I love cleaning toilets.

This is the first time in years that I have been serious about cleaning the house. Although I hate it, I do like a clean house. I hate, hate, hate ironing, but do it each and every week. I refuse to scoop dog poop.

I am not a fan of mopping and vacuuming. DH does the mopping and my dc do the vacuuming.

I hate washing my dog, but it cost $40 to do it at Petsmart, so I do it often. However, when I'm lazy, I'll just go to Petsmart.

Exactly. There are some chores I don't like. But I do them anyway. Otherwise, who would do them for me?

I negotiate with my DW on who does what chores. I am very happy to let her take care of the ironing in exchange for toilet cleaning. Yes, I would rather clean toilets than iron.

We live on a ranch and have a dumpster for household garbage and ranch garbage. I refuse to take our garbage to the dumpster. I figure I take care of everything else around the house, so my husband can take the garbage to the dumpster. Oh, and I won't go under the house for anything (plumbing, electrical, heating, rodent control, etc) - too many rodents and spiders!

Jem I am exactly like you on this. I hate cleaning showers. I can shower in grossness in my own house but hate if it is like that anywhere else. But I love cleaning toilets.

I used to make my boyfriend clean the showers but he has a different view of "clean" than I do so I guess I will have to do them now.

Well we're still living with my parents, so I don't have to do everything...because my mom takes care of her own house---we of course help with some stuff---but I despise weeding. I will hire someone to weed my yard, I don't mind mowing or planting...but weeding...no way!!!

I don't mind cleaning the tub - but I despise cleaning the shower walls - something about it just irritates me to know end. I also don't mind scrubbing the inside of the toilet - but I hate cleaning the rest of it.

And I hate hate hate cleaning the cat box - with a passion.

I refuse to do anything under the house or in a crawl space! I am too awkward and freaked out about mice and spiders! I will hire someone to do it for me but DH is good about doing it himself.

I also won't do anything on the roof or to do with heights. Too scary!

I will pressure wash the deck, scoop the poop, clean all the bathrooms, mostly do the dishes, wash the windows, clean out the closets.

I hate taking out the trash, so that's my fiancee's job.

He is also much better at ironing, so he does that. I'm hopeless at it. But it's not much, just the occasional blouse or pair of pants.

I don't like putting away laundry...just taking the laundry out of the dryer and putting it away can be such a chore. It has to be immediately taken out and put away or else it's super wrinkley...I like to do things in my own time so I tend to fluff and fluff until I'm ready. :)

Has anyone tried those shower cleaners that spray the shower on their own (or something like that?!) Maybe that would work...

Despite growing up on a farm with lots of yard (and field) to maintain, I have never mowed an inch of grass. Even I can't believe it!

I used to live out in the country (my parents are still in that house), and I also have never mowed. My parents never allowed us because my mom was too freaked out that we'd fall off the tractor and kill ourselves. Having asthma and very bad allergies helped me get out of that chore, too. :p

I refuse to kill icky bugs unless I have potent spray close by. Even then, after I kill the thing, I refuse to dispose of it. I once left a roach for my IL's to take care of. (One of the things I hate about living in the south-- nasty things like roaches show up in the cleanest of homes.)

I really don't mind cleaning the house... I'm actually a bit obsessive about having a clean bathroom and kitchen. As far as other chores go, there isn't really anything that I refuse to do.

My husband just asked me for some clean shirts--they are clean, but need ironing. When I get a job, I plan to take them to the laundry and let someone else iron.

I have the newest model of shower cleaner in both of my bathrooms and they work wonderfully! I am ultra-frugal but am willing to buy the overpriced refill packs because it saves me from having to scrub or look at soapscum (plus it smells great!)

The key w/ washing & ironing clothing is to have so many clothes that it takes wks to get through 1/2 of them, then while you have them at the cleaners or in the hamper to wash, wear the other 1/2 & keep switching! ;)

I don't want to say that I love cleaning toilets, but....
I'd rather clean toilets than empty the dishwasher. Kids do that one.
I'd rather iron clothes than fold and put them away--thus my huge pile of clean clothes on the dining room table. I really like to iron.

I like to vaccuum, hate to dust.
I like to paint but hate to clean up after.

There are no chores I REFUSE to do. I'm just a worker bee when it comes to a clean house. There are some things I consider "extra" though, like ironing the curtains, that never gets done. I thought/hoped the wrinkles would fall out over time, but no...

Like Just Me, I would sacrifice a meal before I would cut my lawn. I just can't do it. Texas summers are brutal, and I'm a fair skinned girl with red hair. I don't like any chore that takes me outside for too long.
