Big Name = Arena or stadium headliner ()= Number of times after I see the shows for which I'm presently holding tickets. U2 - 6 (9) Green Day - 2 (3) The Killers - 1(2) Arcade Fire - 2 Coldplay - 3 Elvis Costello - 2 I think this is a good measure of where a person's music tastes really lie.
I've seen Billy Joel and Elton John twice each separately and once together (Just last week on their Face 2 Face tour!) I've seen Green Day and the Rolling Stones twice and once together. And does NSYNC count when I was 12 ?
Dave Matthews Band...not sure how many times...I'd have to go through my scrapbooks. I know it's around nine or ten times.
Kenny Chesney - 7 (8) Alabama - 7 Charlie Daniels - 5 Eagles - 2 Can you tell what kind of music I like?
Feel free to laugh. I've seen New Kids On the Block three times-twice as a teen and also last winter!
Hank Jr.--6 Times Alabama--3 Times REO Speedwagon--3 Times Charlie Daniels Band--2 Times N'Sync--2 Times (with my daughters)
Kenny Chesney - 3 times Tim McGraw - 2 times George Strait - 2 times New Kids on the Block - 2nd time this July
Dottie West - 1 Hank Jr. - Loretta Lynn - 2 Huey Lewis and the news -1 (In college) Steve Holy - 1 Willie Nelson - 1 Everyly Brothers - 1 I know there is more but I can't think tonight
I also hate crowds. They make me very uncomfortable. And I am so not a social person. Yet, I love seeing a few acts live...
Coldplay, 3 Ben Harper, 3 Ben Folds, 2 Fiona Apple, 2 Jurassic 5, 1 John Mayer, 1 Dido, 1 Jimmy Buffet, 1 (not my style, went for the experience) 311, 1 Foo Fighters, 1 Everclear, 1 Yo Yo-Ma, 1 (No teasing! :lol
Hmmm...I probably won't remember them all but let's see: 'NSYNC-1 (first concert at age 18!) BSB-1 Bon Jovi-1 Def Leppard-2 Poison-1 Gavin DeGraw-2 Bowling for Soup-1 No Doubt-(have tix for) New Kids on the Block-2 (currently have tix for as well) (I'm a blockhead, they're back and I never got to go as a kid!)
Josh Turner- 3 LeAnn Rimes- 3 Rascal Flatts- 3 Carrie Underwood- 1 JoDee Messina- 1 I'm a country girl  But stuck up here in NH!
Um... Justin Timberlake twice. Once was an NSYNC concert on my little sisters birthday, and another time, I was the chaperone for her and her friends to the Justified Stripped tour with Christina Aguilera. I am a fan of hers, and they bought my ticket, so I went Even thought I am not a huge JT fan. Some of his stuff is OK. I have only went to a couple of concerts as no one likes my type of music.
I forgot Jimmy Buffett - 5 I've been to tons of others, but only one time each...I love concerts (of course it helps a lot that I worked at a record store in college and in advertising for 20+ years, so tickets were always free). My favorite story that I tease my husband about all the time: We went together and took one of my daughters, to a Kenny Chesney concert several years ago (about 5 or 6 years, I think). The opening act was on and she held her hands over her ears the whole time and he kept telling me how that group was never going to make it big...they should just quit even trying to sing. I liked them, but the 2of them thought they were just awful. The opening act: Rascal Flatts!!! One of us was right, anyway!
Tim McGraw I lost count... maybe around 10 times John Michael Montgomery 3 or4 Clay Walker 2 Taylor Swift 2 times as opener for Tim & Faith & Brad Paisley(about 4 months apart) Faith Hill 2
Eagles 3 Tina Turner 2 GoGos 3 B52s 3 Berlin 2 Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young 4 (not necessarily all 4 together) Jack Johnson 2 Ben Harper 2 Jimmy Buffet 2 (I'm pretty sure I'm going this week) Kenny Loggins 5+ (its okay to laugh, my family & friends do)
I have been to a lot of concerts, but the bands I have seen more than once are: Beach Boys U2 Michael Stanley Band Alabama Reba McIntire
Well, I was going to see Harry Chapin for the 2nd time on the night he died... does that count? And I've seen the Beach Boys more times than I can count, at the Jones Beach theater. There's nothing like sitting on a hot, humid summer night, seeing the Beach Boys arrive on stage by boat. Beyond that, I honestly forget. My concert going days are a distant memory. These days I'm more likely to spend the money on tickets to Disney on Ice for the kids.
For a few years the only concerts I attended were Sesame Street Live- two times. I forgot to add that one to the list.
Besides the ones I have seen multiple times, I have seen some great acts one time. They include: TLC, Jodeci,Luneez, Naughty by Nature, Notorious BIG, Cash Money Millionares, Nelly, Fabulous, Ludicrious, 50 Cent, Busta Rymes, Snoop Dogg, Too Short, ... I was a bit of a rap fan. Still am a litte bit, but my musc tastes have changed a lot in the last 5 years. The last concert is went to was Chris Tomlin (contemperary Christian) and I loved it!!
Chicago--around 4 times--with another one coming! Don't laugh--Barry Manilow--around 4 times. I still love him! Beach Boys--twice
Bob Dylan ~ twice (once with Paul Simon) Paul Simon ~ twice (once with Dylan) Jack Johnson ~ probably 5 times Grateful Dead ~ twice Mason Jennings ~ about 5 times Matt Costa ~ twice Phish ~ probably 7, give or take one or two Blues Traveler ~ see Phish ^^^
The Smashing Pumpkins (3) including a signing where I met them! Loads of other bands I want to see..but they never tour or come near me! booo!
Okay, I have not seen anyone but local bands TWICE, but I have a huge list of people I have seen in concert! I have been to a LOT of concerts. In addition to these shows, I have seen lots of pub and bar type shows, and have NO IDEA which bands those were... some could be famous now and I never would know it. I saw local bands like MXPX, Modest Mouse, The Presidents of the United States of America, Mirah, and Brandi Carlisle more than once. I also saw the Dandy Warhols twice, but the first time I had never heard of them! Better Than Ezra, Everclear, Gin Blossoms, Bush, Korn, Tracy Bonham, No Doubt, Everclear, the Prodigy, Beck, Filter, Ice-T, the Posies, the Verve Pipe, The Offspring, Candlebox, Radiohead, the Dandy Warhols, Matchbox 20, GusGus, Crystal Method, Calexico, Brandi Carlile, Neko Case, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Eisley, The Flaming Lips, Jurassic 5, Jason Mraz, My Morning Jacket, Liz Phair, Tenacious D, Weezer, Blind Melon, Pink Floyd, Lenny Kravitz, Jane's Addiction, REM, Wilco, Black Eyed Peas. There are a lot of other people I have seen that I forgot- like I went to Live 8. I know Dave Matthews and Bon Jovi were there, but don't remember everyone else. As a kid, my parents took me to concerts and I can't remember the people we saw, except maybe Scorpions or something like that? When I was 12 the Beach Boys performed at Disney Land and I saw that.
Oh sheeesh... I don't go to concerts much-went to a few as a teen)...so this will speak to my age. Barry Manilow (2 or 3 times) John Denver (2 or 3 times) Elton John once - and he was a jack-a**. Garrison Keiller (Prairie Home Companion) a few times... sitting out on the grass of the Ravinia Festival (north of Chicago), having a beautiful picnic with adult family...then lying back on a blanket and listening to the show while watching the stars. What memories. Actually.... ANY concert venue at Ravinia is wonderful! **** Oh wait... i see people listing Christian artists... NOW I can keep up. Chris Tomlin twice (My absolute favorite) - Once with Matt Redmond David Crowder... oh four/five times? Darlene Zschech..a few times Third Day... twice WANT to see Casting Crowns..but always miss them. **** Sesame Street Live/Disney on Ice/the Circus...more times than I ever care to remember.

I've never been to a music concert in my life. I don't like any musicians/singers that much. However, if I could WIN tickets, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing Celine Dion or a variety of popular R&B singers. My BF loves contemporary Christian singer, Michael W. Smith & went to a concert long ago. I prefer other performing arts events, such as musicals, the ballet, pro tennis matches, figure skating shows.
