    Just curious to see what personality type everyone has on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). They say that most teachers are ENFJs and INFJs. I'm an ENFJ. I've taken the assessment numerous times and I always come up with ENFJ. What are you?

    Take the test:
    http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
    (Granted this isn't the full MBTI, it's the closest free assessment I could find.)

    Here is a list of suggested careers based on your MBTI:

    ENTJ here, doesn't mention teaching and that's okay because I'm not the normal teacher as I don't conform to "it's the way we've always done it" principle

    The profile description was right on the money for me. I took this test when I was a senior in HS for a Christian marriage project. I don't remember what I scored then, but the letters seem about the same.

    I took a class in Personality Type in the Classroom a few years ago. We did the MB profile and a 'True Colors' profile as well...I'll have to dig through my stuff to find what I came out (or do the survey again!- OK, just did it- ESFJ) but I do remember my colors were blue and gold-
    Gold: Faithful, Dependable, Prepared, Efficient.
    Remembers The Traditions That Work. Values Family.
    Thorough, Sensible, Punctual, Convential, Proper.
    Stable. Organized. Punctual. Helpful.
    Blue:Sensitive To Needs Of Others.
    Sincere. Expresses Appreciation.
    Cooperative. Collaborative. Creative.
    Caring. Team Builder And Player.
    People Person. Engages Others.
    Idealistic. Intuitive. Romantic. Loyal.
    Seeks Unity And Harmony. Caretaker.

    They said many teachers are blue and gold...interesting to lay this over the MB...You can take a free 'True Colors' profile assessment here:

    I thought this was interesting. I'm an ENFJ and this totally describes me.

    ENFJs generally have the following traits:

    * Genuinely and warmly interested in people
    * Value people's feelings
    * Value structure and organization
    * Value harmony, and good at creating it
    * Exceptionally good people skills
    * Dislike impersonal logic and analysis
    * Strong organizational capabilities
    * Loyal and honest
    * Creative and imaginative
    * Enjoy variety and new challenges
    * Get personal satisfaction from helping others
    * Extremely sensitive to criticism and discord
    * Need approval from others to feel good about themselves

    ISTJ

    I don't think I'm this extreme... some of the questions I felt like I was in between answers. But I can see myself somewhat in this.

    The Guardian type most driven to perfectionism and detail is the Inspector (ISTJ). They are attracted to fields where accuracy and precision is needed. They are often found in business and/or finance in positions such as accountant, insurance underwriter, office manager, or bank examiner. Like the Supervisors, they may find their niche in civil service as a detective or an IRS agent. Professional positions in teaching or medicine and legal and technical occupations are also attractive. Says Benita, "I found that I wanted to work in a position where I had the time to make things right. As an estate planner, I enjoy helping people work toward a safe and secure future."

    And I read this under Women and Romance... hahaha

    Jillian is a Guardian Inspector (ISTJ). She was a good student in high school, usually quiet but fairly blunt. Guys didn’t know how to start a conversation with her. She dated occasionally, mostly as part of her social group. She really wanted to get married and have children, but didn’t know how to find a good man. In college, her roommate set her up on a blind date with the roommate’s boyfriend’s cousin. They went on a double date together. A year and a half later, Jillian married him.

    czacza, interesting you mentioned the True Colors thing.. I went through that in University and got the exact same thing... Blue/Gold mix.

    Then our prof split us up in groups to do a project... some groups were all of one color, while others had various colors. I was mostly Gold mixed with three oranges... it was definitely an interesting project!

    I like this part of the description. I think every time I have taken this test I get this same set of letters. At least I am consistent. Now I am going to take the color test and compatibility tests.
