I'm babysitting my 2 month old granddaughter. I took her in the carriage for an hour walk. I'm waiting for her to wake up so I can feed her.

I was actually able to go for a run this morning--the temp. was down in the mid 80s, and the humidity was somewhat bearable! Then I put another coat of paint on the storage cube stools I'm making for my classroom. I ate lunch and then came into school to work on some curriculum mapping. I thought I was being really productive, until I looked at the clock again and realized it's actually not moving and it's over an hour later than I thought it was!

I colored my hair, cleaned out the junk drawer, the utensil draw, folded a load of laundry, stopped by school for a purchase order and went food shopping.

I just need to stop spending money. My problem is that with too much idle time, I end up wandering the mall! I've already redecorated my bedroom this summer - I tore down wallpaper and repainted, so that kept me busy for a week, but now I'm finished with that and getting in trouble...

Today I'm tackling the bookcase in the girl's room...it's overflowing to the point where it threatens to take over the whole room!

I would love to hit the library so I can Fax in my order for NHS.

Then, at about 3:30 or so, my sister and her husband are coming over for a BBQ/pool party. Her 3 kids are all at sleepaway camp or they would be joining in on the fun.

I have two extra kids today. Thankfully they play well with my two. I got a lot accomplished in my classroom yesterday but never got to organize my kids' craft area so I need to work on that today, organizing school paperwork I brought home, then signing my kids up for VBS this evening.

Went for an hour walk this morning before hitting the grocery store. Lauren and I will be away for 4 days this week, so I only needed stuff to get us through the weekend. We're leaving shortly for a soccer game, then when I get back I need to put the finishing touches on this assignment and submit it. There are about 4 loads of laundry calling my name--where does it all come from? But that will likely wait until tomorrow.

I woke up, worked out, ate breakfast.
Went back to bed until 11:30 (oops)
    I'll eat lunch soon.
I need to go buy dog food. And clean my dogs' ears.
Other than that I don't have much planned. I may decide to go out and do some shopping.
It's a very lazy Saturday around here.

My daughter and I have gone through her books and toys. She did real well in thinning those out. I found a desk for her and put that in there and organized it for her. We plan on going to see the new Ice Age movie today. I also need to go by and get a present for a friend that just had her baby today. Hopefully we can make it down to the hospital tomorrow.

I got up at 3am, drove to Philly for Biggest Loser Open Casting. Left there before noon and drove home. Got home by 1:30 and fell asleep. Got up around 5, and now trying to decide what I want to eat.

It was fun. I had posted on FB that I was going and a former student said he was too, so I met up with him and his GF, who was also a student. It was nice to catch up with them and have someone to hang out in line with. Made some new friends in line, too. The interview was in groups of 10 for 10 minutes, so you basically got a minute to make an impression. They asked, name, age, occupation, something interesting about yourself, and how you would "pay it forward." I did not get a call back, so this afternoon I will be working on the online application after I get back from a family reunion for the BFs family.

Oops, speaking of Mass, I had better get into the shower!!

Laundry--why is that always on my list?
Finish sorting through my computer files.
Hit the mall for some k-cups and a couple of workout t-shirts.

Hope to get some down time today. Spent yesterday helping my older daughter move. While driving from where we live to her old apartment (about an hour away), we hit traffic due ro an overturned moving van, and sat for two hours. By then, they were almost done loading the truck so we re-routed to head to her new city. We spent almost four hours to get to her new city which is about 45 minutes from us! while the guys unloaded my sister-in-law and I washed dishes and helped unpack. My husband was so grateful for the boyfriends of our daughters who carried the heaviest furniture up to the third floor.

    Last nights dinner was great!

Today we're taking son to airport...his first business trip! He just graduated college in May and is so excited and motivated about his job.

    After that, some yard work.

I have a TED video to watch in preparation for a coaching academy I start on Tuesday...also need to organize my workshop bag, decide on clothes for the academy...so excited.:D

Yesterday was a cleaning frenzy--deep cleaned the bathrooms, caught up on laundry and dishes, etc. I needed to keep busy so I didn't go crazy looking forward to the second date I had in the evening. That, however, ended up being kind of a dud. :( Got home late last night and was up early this morning for church. Other than grocery shopping, today is going to be a lazy day. I'm thinking I may tackle my sewing pile--it's mostly buttons, hems, and other minor repairs, so it'll go quick once I actually sit down to do it.

These days, I have about 2 weeks left of vacation & I'm squeezing in meeting up w/ a few friends. I'm meeting one on Tues & another on Wed, a 3rd pal on the following Mon & the 4th on that Tues. I still wanted to go to 1 or 2 more fun places myself. I hope to go to this outdoor mall about 45 min away & bring my dog. I also made myself a hair appt for the day before I return to work.

Drats! I ordered a nice rug for my apt at the very end of May & they said it won't be in stock until mid-July, so I'm still waiting!

Peter and I just got back from the mall.

I needed new sneakers-- I don't wear them often, so they tend to last forever. But it had been 4 years, and I was due.

Then we hit Target for the pre-vacation/back to school socks and underwear pickup, along with the vacation stuff-- kiddie Tylenol, Tums, toothbrushes and all that stuff.

Let's just say it's going to be a LONG way till payday!

    Today:
Out to pick up breakfast and coffee (weekly treat)
Came home, worked on some lessons for next school year.
Watched some TV with my hubby.
    Worked out.
    Watching Red Sox game.
I may run out to pick up a baby present later.
I need to cook dinner and do laundry.
I have an early day tomorrow so I should probably head to bed early today. The book I've been reading has been giving me strange dreams, so my sleeping is a bit off.

I made lunch of roast, deviled eggs, new potatoes, corn, and sliced tomatoes. Prepared my peaches for the freezer. Now making juice for jelly. I still have to prepare the apricots. I am going to sneak out and watch daughter play on her new toy.

The Casino just north of town has lots of entertainers coming all the time. If they like to jog, the River Park is good...but our heat is killer, so do it early or late.

I have never been there, but I have heard that 7Ply is fun.

    Food:

    Mario's Pizzeria---so good!!
Los Cabos by Bass Pro is good Mexican food...
    We like Elmer's for BBQ.

And if they have a whole day to kill, they can float the Illinois River. I recommend kayaks. And lots of sunscreen!

I went running today and am now relaxing and watching tv. I'm also planning on trying to study the musical I purchased for school and plan out the rehearsals. My husband worked the whole weekend and I've got quite a bit done so far. The last two days I planned the first semester of music classes.

Today my new standing mirror/jewelry cabinet came so I spent the afternoon putting it together and putting my jewelry in it. Also did some laundry.

Will do some general cleaning tomorrow and then cleaning out the hall closet. Then packing to go to the parents for a few days.

Met up with a friend for shopping & lunch. I expected it to just last only a few hours. I was at the mall from 10:50am & didn't leave until 7:40pm. That's the longest day I've ever spent at a mall in my entire life! :dizzy:

Today I get to meet the new ELA teacher at our school! I'm really excited. :) We've talked on the phone, and she seems very eager to get started. She just had a baby in June, her first, so we want to get as much planning/prepping done as we can.

Later in the day I have 4 hours of driver's ed to teach (2 in the classroom and 2 in the car). And while I'd rather have the rain of this summer than the drought of last summer, I really hope it doesn't rain again during the in car instruction. Kids freak out in the rain.

Well, at some point I have to look over the homework for tomorrow's SAT class.

I think today's job will be to clean out the coat closet. It has become the depository for every sweatshirt in the house.

And I may take a Magic Eraser to all the baseboard molding as well.

I have a 6+ (depending on the border) drive today taking Lauren to soccer camp. By the time I get her checked in, then get to the hotel and shop for food for a couple of days, that will be it.
