I coach basketball as well as teaching. My first year teaching I coached middle school girls. Last year I got the chance to coach at a local college so I took that and went with it for the year. I am looking to get back into coaching middle school age for next school year. What after school activities do you guys do?
I do appointments... chiropractor, physio, family doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, neurologist.... That's generally the extent of my after school extra-curriculars...
I direct the school musical. I also chaperon most dances, and alternate years riding the band bus to away games.
I used to coach different sports. But now, as "YoungTeacherGuy" suggested, I'm on the "All-American Napping Team."
I monitor the library two days a week. I tutor students in math (one day as a free program, other days paid). I'm looking into starting a cooking class for students, but the planning needs to be completed.
I run after school intervention two days a week and Saturday School. I also put on the school play, and in past years, have coached cheer (a nightmare not to be repeated).
I tutor (free) some of my students after school. I also become chauffeur to my son who does tae kwan do and piano after-school
I become a mother and a wife as soon as the contract day is over. After work, my priority is home and family.
Hello Everybody, Just school is not sufficient. One needs to be really active at both studies and co curricular activities. I think taking up an art class would be really great. My kids take active interest here so I also allow them to participate actively.
I coached the middle school quick recall, written assessment, and composition academic teams for years. I gave it up in 2002 due to illness.
