What a difference a year makes (and some meds LOL!)

I just finished my first day back today. It was great! I have 2 really sweet (but immature!) classes and I'm looking forward to a great year.

I can't believe how much easier your second year is. Admittedly, I'm on an antidepressant/anti-anxiety pill, so it's hard to differentiate between what's second-year confidence and what's the medicine, but I'm just happy being happier. :haha: I trust my abilities so much more, and I was so much more prepared for the stresses of the first day...I was even able to leave at 5:00 today! Last year I worked until 7:30 most nights.

I'm hoping to ride this high as long as I can - at least until the honeymoon is over

Awesome :) Glad you had a great day and enjoy it as long as you can. Make yourself leave everyday...I started doing this last year and my stress/anxiety decreased immensely I even started to really enjoy my job again.

PS...your 3rd year gets even better...:)

Pisces--Glad to hear things are going great for you. I have been on LexaPro and Cymbalta for years. They do work. Don't worry if it is more confidence or the meds, just enjoy being happy. Teaching gets easier every year that you do it. Have a great year.
