I was wondering if anyone here took the WEST-E English Language Learners Test and whether there were any useful resources or study guides they uses? I have the WEST‑E English Language Learners (051) Secrets Study Guide by Mometrix, but their information doesn't seem to match up with the practice test I took from the official WEST-E website.

If this test is really WEST-E rather than NESTest, you'd do well to start with Washington's content standards for English language development, if they exist; if they don't, you might find California's useful (go to www.cde.ca.gov and rummage around a bit for the content standards and frameworks). The content standards doc is a good source of terminology to look up on the Internet, and it might even have a glossary.

A very good resource for the content is Diaz-Rico & Weed's Cultural, Linguistic and Academic Diversity Handbook. It's a pricey but useful textbook, and older editions beginning with the third should still serve you well.
