My second attempt at retiring, that is!

I got a pleading phone call from a friend at a private school nearby that needed an ESE teacher for a self-contained class to replace a teacher who quit with no notice.

So, I am back to work in the classroom.

Luckily, I have 10 of the sweetest children around :hugs:

And...they give their staff free lunch everyday :woot:

Wow. Yes, a short-lived retirement. You certainly rescued your friend out. Good for you. Have a wonderful year.

Guess you'll have to change that "Retired and sleeping late" thing again. Free lunch is great, but one rewarding year is fantastic.

Wow, that's great! Guess you can't be "retired and sleeping late" anymore. LOL.

I wondered how long it would last! You're a good woman helping out when and where it is needed.

I've gotten free lunch at two schools I've worked at but I still bring my own lunch! There's only so many chicken nuggets a grown woman can eat!

I'm pretty sure they offer a salad to the adults. I have looked at the menus and some of the meals look tasty. I'm just not used to eating lunch at school.

We can get salad too. I'll take it every so often but after 14 years of being a teacher eating this food I'm just sick of it  Some meals are quite yummy but not the type of things I can eat without gaining quite a bit of weight!
BTW, you are a better friend than I. I would have declined the offer and gotten rid of my alarm lock forever!

10 kids and free lunch- sounds like a pretty good deal!

    Enjoy your non-retirement!

My independent school's lunches are amazing. I don't think we've ever had nuggets. I'm salivating thinking of school starting.

Once a month my old school had the choice of... Chicken Patty on a Bun or Chicken Nuggets (on the same day, I mean). So.... processed chicken parts or processed chicken parts..... yummy!
