Thanks everyone. Lots of friends went out last night to celebrate.
I will be the new High School English teacher at the school that hired me. I'll be teaching incoming freshmen and sophomores.
It is e.x.a.c.t.l.y. what I wanted.
During the interview, I met a few of my future colleagues and the English Department Head, and I've never met more capable people. Not to even mention the principal.
Now I'm ready to plan. It's time to make my classroom awesome now.
No since waiting until school starts!
P.S. I did it all without a cover letter
The young kids are a lot of fun to teach.
When can you get your materials?
I've officially changed my title from "Hopeful" to .....
That'll be my next question.
I'm going up for review on the school board Wednesday of next week.
Also, I have some clerical things to get through, a lot pertaining to my certification program that I need to submit to the school.
After all that mess is finished, I'll get my materials and start developing my lessons for the next school year.
