I'd like to send each of my students a postcard welcoming him/her to Pre-K. I'm trying to find some good ideas of what to say, but I'm not really getting anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

If you don't know anything else about the student or their family, you could mention something exciting that is going on in the first month of school, and how you're excited about having them in class to participate. Or, if there is a special message you'd like to add like "I can't wait to see you on (fill in date here) where we can learn a lot and have tons of fun..." etc.

I like to mention the fun things. I say something like "I'm busy getting things ready so that you can build with blocks, play dress-up, paint, and play with your new friends." I want them to be excited about school!

That's a great idea! Can't you just see the smiles on their faces when you're writing about that? =)
