For those of you who send these out before the first day of school, I'd love to see what you write in/on them. I'm looking for new ideas for this year. Thanks!
When I do it, it's pretty basic. Welcome, look for me on the playground before school on first day, make sure you bring a silent reading book, web page address, and something about my summer.
Hope you are having a great summer. When open house is, and a reminder to bring suplies on the first day!
Thanks, guys. Mine's usually pretty basic too. Gonna try and think of something cute if I can ... sometimes my brain likes to go on vacation.
All right, here's what I came up with: Dear student, Welcome to 3rd grade! I am so excited to have you in my class this year. We have many fun things planned like Battle of the Books, Big Cat Rescue and the science fair. Check out my website with your parents when you get a chance. Gotta run now so that I can get my classroom ready for you. See you soon! Ms. time out I'm not sure if I should insert verbs into the sentence about our upcoming events. I'm open to suggestions on wording and order. Thanks!
How about something like: Dear Student, Welcome to 3rd grade! I am very excited to have you in my class! This year we have many fun events planned such as Battle of the Books, Big Cat Rescue and the science fair. Visit our classroom website with your parents to find out more information about our class. I look forward to a fun and exciting school year together! See you soon! Ms. time out
Our kids don't know what class they are in so I have postcards I made from vistaprint that say: Welcome to Kindergarten! You are in Mrs. Mandanicole01's class! I can't wait to meet you! We are going to have a great year! Love, Mrs. Mandanicole01 Then on the back I write the open house information!
