    Teachers officially return on Tuesday, August 12th. First day of school is Monday, August 18th.

    Tuesday is all-day classroom set up. Wednesday, August 13th will be site inservice day. We normally do a luncheon for our teachers, but I think this year we will organize a breakfast and dismiss teachers at 12:00 so they can continue working in their classrooms (my principal and I will have to work hard to make certain we fit everything into four hours, though).

    They'll have district-provided inservices on Thursday and Friday.

    Anyway, I think breakfast will be a good idea so the info I'm presenting will be better received (full tummy = less grouchy)! :lol:

    :wub::wub::hugs::hugs: :yeahthat::wub::wub::thumb::thanks::D:D

    The only thing I love more than a free breakfast on the 1st day back is being allowed to work in my classroom!

    On behalf of the teachers at your school, thank you for the gift of time! I hope my administrators do the same!

    You're a very considerate P! And yes, those in-services sound grouch-inducing. Are they at least held at your site so teachers might be able to sneak away at their lunches and breaks and get stuff done?

    Giant coffee urns and an actual toaster for the bagels will make this perfect. You are so wonderfully staff-centered (make sure the support staff gets some munchies as well)!

    Yummy food and more time to work in the classroom are the BEST inservice gifts ever!

    My principal provided breakfast for us last year, and it was great. She had things like muffins, yogurt with fruit and granola, biscuits and honey, smoothies, etc. It was so yummy!

    I would maybe tell them ahead of time, though. I was kind of sad that I had already eaten breakfast that day, because I didn't know.

    Are you my P? :lol: I just learned we're getting almost 1.5/2 days to work in our classrooms and departments! We're getting lunch provided one day too.
