I just got a letter in the mail today from a district (actually the one I live in) that said, "Please accept this letter as confirmation of your withdrawal from the recruitment process for the position of Elementary Teacher in the XYZ District due to other employment." Ok... so I did get a job already, but never withdrew my application from that district, nor let them know I had been hired by another district. I'm just curious as to why they would send a letter like this or how they would even know I got a job? Interesting..
Most of the time I don't even get a response for having sent in an application! I didn't even have an interview with this district. Who knows!
I wonder if the administrator in the district where you are going to teach knows the administrator in the district where you live. Maybe there was a conversation there. Who knows???
Very weird! I found out today though lots of administrators between districts know each other.....but for them to take the time to send a letter is strange in itself!
Yeah I thought that maybe the principal at the district I worked in this year (who used to work for the district that sent me the letter) might have talked to the administrators. But like everyone else has said, why send a letter for that?
