I want to order one of these for my classroom with the school money I will be getting...they are all pretty expensive, which one do you prefer?
    Thanks! :)

We do Scholastic News. It's just what the other teachers have done for several years, before I came along. I like it alright and the kids love it. We did Weekly Reader when I was in school and I liked it at that time.

We get time for kids, which I really like. I teach second grade. Many of the magazines have articles which I will save for later use in the year.

Hmmm...seems to be a personal preference. I like and use Scholastic for my first graders because of the Clifford characters and ease of use. I use their bookclubs and they let me know what is coming up through Scholastic News so I can order a book that will relate, through the Book club. Nice marketing strategy :D

If I taught older children, I would prob. choose Time, as it seems to have depth and more "news" coverage.

Thanks so much....I think that you have a good point about Clifford and first graders....I don't guess I realized he was in every issue...I also like the idea of knowing ahead of time what the topics will be and the chance to order books to match! :)

I thought the TFK may have seemed too difficult, it looks like it is used alot in 2nd grade.

Thanks again for the help, looks like I will try Scholastic ...
