Would anyone be willing to share with me your weekly lesson plan format? (Preferably in a Word document?) I need a blank template that can be filled in. Thank you so much!
I don't know if this is what you're looking for. I stumbled across this on my way to something else and remembered you had asked about lesson plan templates. http://www.lessonplanspage.com/LessonTemplate.htm
I make one that is very simple: Standard/Goal: Lesson: Practice together: Independent practice: Product-if any
We use one 8 1/2 x 11 sheet for all subjects. We use alot of acronyms. I can email it to you if you send me your email via PM. Now I need help. The template I am sending you does not work for the first week and a half. Does anyone have a template that works for the first week with routines/procedures?
I type up all my daily lesson plans in a Word document. For each day of the week I create a two column table. In the first column I put the time frame I want the lesson to take. In the second column I type the subject on the first line and lesson under that in bulleted form, including teacher manual pages. If I need to get special things for the lesson (run copies, math manipulatives, etc), I highlight those items to remind myself to have them ready. I know this format helps out substitutes quite a bit. I also pull up these daily lesson plan tables from the previous year and use that information (typing on top of or cutting and pasting) for the current year. I have to make adjustments for the different levels of different classes, but it cuts down on writing. It also lets me gauge how slower/faster my current class is progressing from the previous year and I can cut and paste to make a new daily plan for the rest of the week if a lesson takes longer or I run out of time to start a subject (I hated all the arrows on my handwritten lesson plans!).
I made mine using Excel. It is easy for me to use, now that I have it set up. Go to my "for teachers" link and it will be on there. http://www.sampson.k12.nc.us/Countypage/Technology/Heit/sak/index.htm
Thank you tarheelsak for sharing your wonderful, hard work. I have made a copy of your newsletter to use as food for thought and also your attendance forms for starters. I was hoping for an old-fashioned grade/attendance book, but when I saw what they cost, hoped I'd find something less expensive. Thans again!
I have a basic lesson plan that I use in word. I will email it to you if you send your email. I don't know how to attach it here. Tina

I color code my lesson plan. I have mine in microsoft word. I will email it to you if you want it. I teach t-1.
I have one that I made in Word - pretty much a bunch of boxes that I shrink or stretch out to fit my needs. I'd be happy to share it, but I think I can only email it. It I tried to post it on my class web page, I wouldn't look right. Let me know.
