Hope this is OK to ask...
What other teacher websites do you frequent for information?

I have used MsPowell and TeachingHeart recently. What about you?

I have hundreds of teacher websites marked. Are you looking for teacher websites in general, or something more specific such as 1st grade, reading, upper elementary, or math etc...
I am currently a student, so I rely on the web for a lot of ideas and information. Many of my professors also lead us to great teacher websites.

Thanks... I tried to search for an old post but apparently wasn't patient enough.

HELP!!! I need to find a social studies thematic unit to assess- due tomorrow at 6! I am in the middle of checking out these sites but if anyone can help me find specifically what I need that would be awesome. So far most of what I see are "mini-units" and I don't know if that's enough-- think I can get away with it? It's our final assignment...
    :thanks:

Did you search here on A to Z (use search box or browse the lessons or themes tab)? What grade level or topic are you looking for?

I didn't realize that! I've been to MsPowell's awesome site, but never made the connection! I remember Angela S. very well! She (along with many others!!) made me feel so welcome here my first summer. Wasn't she in the D.C. area, and then moved? Her classroom was one of the first I had ever seen on-line. It was amazing!

ncteacher, that must be great! :) I use her materials all the time, and I have incorporated her ACR program and her Lunch Bunch into my classroom. The Lunch Bunch has been such a hit that I enlisted the help of our Title I teacher, so we could have two groups going at once. Have you attended classes with her? Does she do workshops of her own?! :)

Thanks everyone for your help :)... I finally forced myself to realize that my paper will be graded on my critique, not the quality of the lesson, so I stopped comparison shopping and just ran with the first full-length unit I found (which, btw, had plenty to criticize I think!)

But thanks so much for all the links, I am sure I will be using some of them in the future as this was only my first semester! I bookmarked this thread for future reference.

The internet is great for finding worksheets. I definitely don't have the time to make that many myself. Thanks for the sites.
