Carmen-They love 7-up. I have tons of literacy and math games but they love Heads Up 7-up. I just draw 7 numbers and they know what to do. I only have to direct them on how to do it the first inside recess. I get to do whatever I need to when they're in there.
DTR- Just 23*. We don't let them go out under 32*.

I remember 7-up and mum ball!!!

Miss W--- It sounds funny that seems like a warm wind chill...It seems like they won't let ours go out if the wind chill is in the twenties or teens... I can't remember which!!! Of course, we may have thicker gear here!!!

Probably. Our summers get up to 120*, and our winters down to 0*.

I say let `em go outside unless a tornado's coming or it's raining. They can handle the cold and snow.

We had snow last night and flurries this a.m. so we headed out by 9:30(all 10 of us) and soon others came out, too. It was so much fun and the kids just dove into the snow!!! We go out when it is 20 degrees and I never pay attention to wind chill...just has to be 20 degrees. Kids can take it...in fact the BEG me to take them out when it's 20 below!!! Now that's where I draw the line!

I'm in Houston and the last couple of days have been sooo nice. Chilli at night (40s) and 60-70s during the day. But on Saturday we are suppose to hit 80. I hate it when its hot during winter. I like wearing sweaters a couple of months out of the year. To be honest I don;t even own a real coat. I have a couple of cute jackets but thats it.

I saw a gigantic snow globe at one of the dentists office. It was really neat. Taller than I am, and had a machine blowing the snow around in it. My cousin was telling me about them last year, but that was the first time I've seen one.

I have seen the big blow up ones for outside use at Walmart and Target! They are great, but I won't spend the money for them. Maybe after Christmas, if any are left!

I didn't get close enough to see if they were plastic or glass. I'm sure they're plastic. This particular dentist office is always decorated really nice.

I've never seen snowglobes this tall before. They're probably 8 feet tall and 5-6 feet wide. Really neat.

Diznee! I know you get lots of snow up there in Michigan...it must be very beautiful. We don't seem to get the big blizzards here we used to. The weather is changing. We don't even get the bad summer storms . I love storms in all seasons so I feel cheated!

The weather man is on right now, talking about an "arctic" forcast. We are going to have frigid temperatures all week. On Saturday, late in the afternoon/evening, we will get one to three inches of snow with sleet and freezing rain. Oh, lovely. :(

Glenda you make sure and keep that stuff out there! We do not want it in New England!
Right now it's beautiful out but only 30 degrees, and sort of windy.

We didn't get too much snow last night. We got the lovely sheet of ice and then just a covering of snow. Lots of accidents on the roads and streets last night!

I'm hoping we have some snow for Christmas. That really is the best. The lights on people's houses always look so pretty when there's some snow. I haven't gone out at all today, but I plan on driving around tomorrow night to look at the lights in the snow.

My husbands family is from ohio (columbus) and his grandpa still lives there but comes here for christmas and he says the same thing every year. I've been skiing but never actually seen snow fall from the sky. We are going to have to rent a cabin somewhere one year when we have kids and do christmas there so I can have my white christmas.
