How's the weather been where you are? It seems like there have been heat waves all over the U.S. this week. Where I am, on the S.E. coast of Massachusetts it's been above 90 everyday this week which is hot for us. On top of that the humidity has been ridiculous...it's only about 55% right now, but a few days ago it was upwards of 80%...the air was so thick, but it just wouldn't rain! It makes it feel about 10 degrees hotter than it is when it's that high. I have to say, the heat is not for me especially when it's this sticky out. What about where you are?

I live in Southern Utah. It has been 113 during the day and only cooling to 100 at night. I can't seem to get refreshed. It is normal for this time of year. We should be getting into monsoon weather soon. We seem to get rain from the hurricanes that hit Mexico. We are starting to get dumped on from Emily. Mountains are within 10 miles with snow on them and so that is nice.

Hot. Dry. We've gotten maybe a smidge over an inch or MAYBE two inches, tops, since the beginning of June. We've lost something like 70+% of the corn crops in the state... the grass is brown and dry... many communities have been restricting watering even more than usual... most communities have even/odd days, but many are aying NO watering trees and shrubs, or one day a week, if they're allowing it at all.

    We NEED rain!!!

I am in Ohio and it's been about 90 with high humidity. It's so hot. Plus I have no air cond. in my car. I bought it for it's low mileage. :(

I have no AC in my car either....needs to be charged or whatever. I swear it's gotta be at least 20 degrees hotter in my car than it is outside every time I get in it. Not fun! haha

When I bought my car 3 years ago, it only had 13,000 miles on it, so I had to get it!! (Used 2000 honda civic). It maybe hotter than an oven, but it runs great. I'm hoping the heat wave breaks for a awhile.

I live in the northeastern part of ND and it's been hot this year...upper 80's and 90's and very humid. Lots of rain--at least 1/2" to 1" per week. I've been staying in the southeastern part of the state for the month and it's hot and dry here. Grass is turning brown, crops are turning already. I almost hate to go home to all the rain!

It is hot and humid here is SW Ohio too. It is supposed to be pretty much miserable through Tuesday. We are getting a little rain, so the corn and soybeans don't look too bad yet.

My home-from-college son is helping out with the hometown high school marching band practice. This week it has just been in the mornings, when it is a little cooler. Next week is band camp - with the band going all day. Ugh!

We just went out to eat. The parking lot was so hot - When we got back in the car, at 9 p.m., the car registered the outdoor temp at 105 degrees. This cooled off to 97 once we got going. I'm not sure what our high was today, but our temp guage on the back porch was 101.5 at this afternoon. Tomorrow is supposed to be 101. I'm not sure what the heat index was - It's very humid here.

We are having horribly hot days. (Just like almost everyone else!) Our highs are in the high 90's, but with 100% humidity that brings our heat index into the 100's. I just got back from Farm Camp which was a lot of outside activities for kids, but they did a great job of keeping water and power-ade available for the kids. They were drinking constantly so it didn't get too bad. With the daytime heat it is leading to some sometimes violent thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. I am a little afraid to opend my electric bill this month!

Here in NJ it is similar to MA - the humidity has been brutal! And we are teaching a summer program in un-airconditioned classrooms. Fans are just not cutting it. At least this weekend the humidity broke and we are actually able to turn off the ACs, gives us enough time to give them a rest and clean their filters, but I see the forecast for Mon-Wed. is 90 and humid!

Suppose to have a high of 101 with a heat index near 110, same thing tomorrow. Almost had to take my grandmother to the emergency room Friday because she got so hot, had to park her right in front of the a/c and got her cooled off. I hope this ends soon.

I hope it ends soon too. Teacher333, the humidity has broken here some-what this weekend too so I dont have my AC on right now either. I also work at a summer program with no AC and it's definitely not fun. We're in the basement so it's cooler down there most times, but still warm and the floors and walls are constantly wet from the humidity. It's miserable. I hate to say it, but I can't wait till fall.

It was miserably hot here today. The temperature was in the 90 degrees with a heat index over 100. But, by Wednesday things are supposed to cool down a lot. We just need to make it through one more day.

My son volunteered today with the hometown high school marching band. It is band camp this week, so they went 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. He came home exhausted - and sweaty/smelly. After supper, all he has done is sleep in the recliner.

The temp is supposed to be over 100 today. It has been humid, was able to shut the ac off this weekend, back on yesterday. I know it is unbearable but I keep thinking about the long, cold winter we had, and what is coming in a few months.

Relief! A cool front came through last night. Right now, the temperature is just below 70 degrees. It rained late last night and we still are having a light rain.

The air conditioner is finally off and all my windows are opened. Whew!

We have not escaped the hot humid weather here in Canada. It's been over 100 most days (Eastern Ontario) and the sparing rain doesn't seem to help the humidity at all. Today it's cooler though. We have central air in our house and so we're pretty comfortable indoors and we also have a pool for outdoors...but I won't be as comfortable when I see my electric bill.

I'm skating by with about $150 in electric bill this month! Considering some of my friends here are having upwards of $300, I am feeling good! I have tried to keep my thermostat set warmer than normal and use fans more. It has been comfortable in here and not as expensive!

It's been really hot here in Indy. Also, like Illinois we need rain in Indiana. My plants have died, and I've been watering them EVERY day! UGH. Anyway, the only good thing is that today it cooled off a bit, so I wasn't GLUED to the air conditioner. yeah!

I remember it being this hot before - We've had a few years of mild summers, though. We didn't break any records around here, but came within close a couple of days. After 104 degree days over the weekend, this afternoon my back porch temp read 80 degrees. It feels wonderful today.
