What song do you sing for the weather? I want a simple, but fun song for my kids this year before the weather person announces what the weather is like for the day. Can't wait to hear your ideas!
weather song We always used (tune of Clementine): What's the weather? What's the weather? What's the weather like today? Is it rainy, is it sunny, is it snowing out today? I would change up the 3 weather choices with one being correct and the weather person's job would be to report on which was correct. Great way to introduce some new words: foggy, humid, to name a couple. After the kiddoes were used to it I would even give them 3 wrong choices just to see who was listening and not just on auto pilot!
We sing a weather song to the tune of freres jacques: Weather Watcher, Weather Watcher What Do You See? What Do You See? Tell us what the weather's like, Tell us what the weather's like, Won't you please, Won't you please. I also like the Dr. Jean weather song on the Dr. Jean and Friends Cd: Tune: "My Darlin' Clementine" Sunny, sunny, Sunny, sunny, It is sunny in the sky. S-U-N-N-Y, sunny, It is sunny in the sky. Cloudy . . . Windy . . . Rainy . . . Snowy . . .
I do the same as Twinkle, but add in the helpers name to the song and different weather, so here it is: Whats the weather, whats the weather, whats the weather like today, tell us Jenny, whats the weather, whats the weather like today. Is it sunny, is it cloudy, is it raining outside, is it snowy, or is windy, whats the weather like outside?
Ours is a almost exactly like the other "Clementine" themed weather songs: What's the weather, what's the weather, what's the weather like today? Tell me, children, what's the weather, what's the weather like today? Is it sunny? Is it cloudy? Is it raining out today? Is it snowy? Is it windy? What's the weather like today?
We sing "Zip a di do da, zip a dee day, my oh my what's the weather today?" (then the special helper tells us the weather) then we sing "plenty of __________ heading our way, zip a di do da zip a dee day." I also incorporate the sign language sign for whatever the weather is when we fill in the blank.
weather Here's one more for you: What is the weather, weather, weather. What is the weather report today. __________(weather person's name here) says it's sunny, sunny, sunny. __________says it's sunny outside today.
We sing Meteorologist Meteorologist What do you see? What do you see? Tell us what the weather's like? Tell us what theweather's like Won't you please? Won't you please?
We sang- What's the weather like today? Like today, Like today? What's the weather like today? Today is _______________. (the students call out the weather, for example- Today is rainy.) This is to the tune of "London Bridges".

We sing: whats the weather? whats the weather? whats the weather,____(student's name)___ Is it windy? Is it cloudy? Is there rain? Or is there sun?
We sing... What's the weather like today? like today? like today? What's the weather like today? It is _________ (and the Weather Watcher fills in the last word after checking the weather). A former co-worker of mine sang... What's the weather like today? Take a look outside It might be rain, it might be snow, it might be sunny, I don't know What's the weather like today, Take a look outside (to the tune of Old MacDonald) Another one... (frere jacques) Weather watcher, Weather Watcher What do you see? What do you see? Tell us what the weather's like, Tell us what the weather's like Won't you please, won't you please?
