I have looked everywhere for the weather song I thought I would remember for my 2/3 class. I remember it being a choral song where I say it and they repeat it. It is something like, Weather Helper, Weather Helper, What's the weather?

    Anyone use this one?

After deciding together what the weather is like... Sing to the tune "London Bridges" (and we do hand/arm movements where they cross the midpoint)

    What's the weather like today?
    Like today? Like today?
    What's the weather like today?
Today is __(fill in the blank)___________. (make a weather movement to fit)

    Like today? Like today?
    What's the weather like today?
On this ____(put in the day of the week)____.

My son remembered it. Weather watcher, weather watcher, what do you see? What do you see? Tell us what the weather is, tell us what the weather is, won't you please? Won't you please?

We did one to the tune of Clementine:

What's the weather, what's the weather
    What's the weather everyone?
Is it cloudy, is it windy, is there rain or is there sun?

    Funny story

 I had to giggle when I saw this question, in a good way. We have circle time and spend a lot of time in the spring on weather types as a matter or graphing - but for the life of me I didn't know if we had a song.

 Got to school the next day and asked if we did.

The kids looked at me all quizical and said "A song for sun?". See, we live in Eastern Wa, which is not at all like Seattle. We have less than 3 inches of rain per year and about one day of snow. So we apparently have no weather song.

    Sorry. :sorry:

However, if someone has a song for us-we would love it

    sun
    sun
    sun

    Hope you find your song

    I'm using this one

    What's the weather?
    What's the weather?
    What's the weather like today?

    Tell us ______ (child's name)
    What's the weather?
    What's the weather like today?

Is it sunny? (arms above head)
Is it cloudy? (hands cover eyes)
Is it rainy out today? (flutter fingers down)
Is it snowy? (arms around body, like your cold)
Is it windy? (wave arms back and forth)
    What's the weather like today?

This is the one we use, except we say, "Tell me, children, what's the weather".

we do sing mr sun, sun. We also like the raining pouring old man is snoring.

I really like the mountain song-thanks.

We are so weather impared (as an area-not a class) that we are so facinated during the spring -when we do see clouds for about 20 days-that we are really excited about graphing. We use the 1st grade links and make chains. Then our weather stops and we watch the sun column grow and grow and spill onto the floor-and then the novelty wears off when we realize it will be that way until january.

however, if you ever need a conference or out door wedding-this is the place to be.

    thanks
