Ok, enough of the flu shots and the germ scares for me. What can we discuss next?
how about anything goes.......blah, blah, blah. we do it on all the other threads anyway. haha
quick...get to the Panda site! He is so cute right now!
He's doing more moving now then I've seen him do any of the other times I've watched!
Kinderkids, anything goes sounds good. You're right, all we do is discuss random things on the other threads anyway.
wonder where his mama is....ok....this is the official anything goes thread.
we could use this as our faux chat room! I did just peek at him, I can't stand how cute that little thing is...........ahhhhhhhh!
Ok, since this is our "anything goes" thread, let me just say that I'm pretty nervous about my interview tomorrow for that long-term sub position.
oh gosh...good luck. Just walk in there like you own the place.
Oh, I forgot you had that.........x fingers and toes for you!! Is this the fourth grade one?
Haven't seen the Panda yet, i'll check him out. What zoo is he at?
I think he is at the Washington National zoo.
I think I'm pretty good at faking confidence! haha I can act as though I'm not nervous when I really am, so that's a plus I guess. The last interview I had just wasn't that great so it makes me nervous. The last one I was on the principal didn't seem happy with any of my answers. For example...
Him: "What do you consider to be your biggest weakness?"
Me: "Well, I tend to procrastinate. It's something I really worked on during my student teaching, but I would probably consider that my biggest weakness."
Him: "Procrastinating can be a good thing. What is another weakness you have?"
I had no idea what to say so I said...
Me: "I don't always speak my mind when maybe I should."
Him: "Well, then, how are you going to handle the veteran teachers that think you don't know anything because you're new?"
I wanted to scream! So....I'm just afraid to have an experience like that again...
Yes, it's fourth grade.
I think I would have said(about the Veteran Teachers( that I will be too busy to worry about what others think of me!
yuck............I don't blame you for being nervous, but you'll do great. I always said my biggest weakness is that I am too soft hearted.and compassionate.....wear my heart on my sleeve. That I'm sure isn't the right answer either. How do you have a "right" answer for that kind of question?
haha...that would've been a good one!
I think I said something along the lines of, "Because I've recently graduated, I may have new ideas that I could share with the veteran teachers and because they have much more experience I would be very excited to learn things from them."
Exactly..there really is no right answer. I was just so caught off-guard because I hadn't prepared myself to come up with more than one weakness! haha
It's hard to think of a weakness when you are perfect. I have the same problem!!!!!!! hahahaha.........you could have said "interviews" for one of your weaknesses! or wait no you could have said the A-Z TEachers Forum!!!
i always say that I am too easy going, that probably is not the right answer either! Here's the question, Is there a right answer?
You could say, "Why do you ask?!"
I'm not sure that man would've been happy with any answer! He had an answer for everything..it was awful, I left the interview with such a bad taste in my mouth. I was almost glad I didn't get offered the position.
My fingers are really crossed about this one, though. It's a 4th grade long-term sub position from Dec.-March. The best part about it is that it's 4th grade, which I love. It's beginning teacher's salary and well, it's my foot in the door! I figure it'll be a really great thing to have on a resume too.
ah, catch THEM off guard!! I love it!!
I hope you get it, Beth...really I hope you do. I am excited for you. My son has been looking for work and is becoming a pro at interviews!!! I know how you feel.
Well, make sure you come on here right away and let us know how it went!!
Thanks for the support!
I will definitely be on here as soon as I get home tomorrow morning to post about how it went.
well, I'm sure we'll be here too. after all, what else do we do with our lives?
My son will find out about a job tomorrow too...and I am nervous for him. Hey , could use some prayers from everyone ...
Well, I wish him luck. The waiting is so nerve-wracking. Hopefully he will get good news.
x fingers, and toes and prayers for your son too, grammy!! tomorrow will be a great day for everyone!!
It's a full moon tomorrow. That could be a good thing or a bad thing...it could go either way....
yay! Thanks Kinderkids and Beth! I have heartburn from eating a whole truck load of mozerella cheese sticks.
Yes, maybe I'll hit Guru mark tomorrow...no hubby is home...over 100 to go...maybe another week or so...hey then we can have a party at my house....
look out MIchigan here we come!
oh, rosieo, you can do it tonight. I know you can. Grammy, send some of those cheese sticks my way........I love them!
I'll be waiting....I'll plug my computer into my big screen TV and continue this...now I know I am sick!!!!!!!!!!!
I love them too. I get them as an appetizer almost everywhere I go out to eat! YUM!!
