What are some things you guys do to relax and pamper yourself? I was thinking about this as I ate lunch today. Once a week, I go over to the really nice Indian restaurant next to my office. I order chicken masala with no chicken and eat while I read. It's fantastic. So relaxing, and it really feels like an escape. I don't even watch the clock. So far, I've come very close to the hour I get for lunch, but I wouldn't even care if I went over by a lot-it's ME time. I need to take more moments like that for myself, but I'm so busy that I often don't think about it. Maybe you guys can help me make a list, and I'll pull one out of a hat each day to try (oh lord... I'm turning my life into a classroom....)

I like to get a pedicure. That is my way to pamper myself. Also a new lipgloss makes me feel good. Hit up Sephora

My big treat is a monthly pedicure. It's gotten to the point that when I go in, Tony says, "pedicure, no manicure. Right?" I try to stay away from food treats, but once in awhile I'll get a slice of cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory or (my favorite) a cappuccino blast from Baskin-Robbins--it had to become a treat when it went up to $6!

The other thing I will do is go to the craft store and treat myself to a project....needlepoint, scrapbooking, painting, etc. Or a new book--jeez, I'm such a hoarder!

Oh I love to pamper myself, whether its for a treat or relaxing or celebrating it's always necessary to take time for me :) I love to...

    - get manicures and pedicures
    - read a good book sitting outside, on the beach, at a park, at a cafe
    - a yummy coffe from starbucks
    - yummy fruit juice bars from trader joes
    - a long shower with lots of steam and yummy smelling bath gels
    - and always shopping, especially when there are sales!

When I have a stressful day, or if I just need to make my mind stop racing, I like to take a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine and a book. It has to be an "escape" type of book. Fiction only! And If I'm REALLY stressed, then turn off the lights I light some candles around the tub.

One time????? What is that? LOL, I usualy go to a bookstore, or shop.
Since I no longer have Mom, it is hard, she always made sure I did alone things and treated myself, too. I am surrounded by boys and they think when I go to Kroger alone -this is a Good time:lol:. DH does try though.

When I need to clear my head I put on my IPod and go for a walk or go do laps. I always feel so much better.
A hot bath is a good way to pamper yourself too
