Kidding!!!:lol::lol:It seems we have had a lot of heated posts lately. Who's excited about new TV seasons? Seriously! The new tv season snuck up on me. Is anyone digging new shows or new seasons? 1. Cougartown- so funny! 2. The Good Wife- It is wavering right now, but I think it could become a great show. 3. Modern Family- He will always be Al Bundy to me, but the show is pretty funny. 4. The Vampire Diaries- I just love vampires! Plus my standards: 1. Grey's Anatomy 2. The Office 3. Private Practice 4. Gossip Girl 5. Brothers and Sisters 6. Desperate Housewives
Hahahaha! I am loving Glee...a LOT. It is so hilarious. Love it! I started watching Flash Forward, but this jury's still out... That's about all my new shows. My regulars: Grey's Anatomy Law and Order: SVU Cold Case Project Runway Dancing with the Stars, although I could live without that one What about shows you're missing? Any that were cancelled that you miss? I am soooo in mourning over The Unit. I loved that show!
Oh god... I watch a show (or more) each night. It's awful. But I love it. Monday: HOUSE, Big Bang Theory, Two & a Half Men Tuesday: Fringe, Law & Order (whichever happens to be on) Wednesday: Criminal Minds Thursday: Southland (not on yet) Friday: Flashpoint (starting soon) Sunday: The Unit --- oops. cancelled!!!?? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. Perhaps I need professional TV-addict help. Hah..... I guess its my escape.
We have never watched 'first run' tv shows before, because we could never remember when anything was on (no TiVo). But this year, we watch House/Lie to Me on Monday, NCIS/NCIS LA/The Good Wife on Tuesday, Glee on Wednesday, The Office/Parks and Rec/Heroes on Thursday and nothing new on Friday. I like having TV shows again.
(sshhh . . . I am out of it again and haven't seen anything controversial . . . should I remain in ignorance/bliss?)
We watch everything online (we don't even have a real TV). I used to be snooty about TV and what a waste it is, but then I realized it is a great way to make grading more fun!
Here's the shows I watch: http://forums.atozteacherstuff.com/showthread.php?t=92183&highlight=fall+shows
My favorites are: Cougartown- I laugh out loud all by myself. The Good Wife- Love her. Modern Family- Love the gay guys with the baby. Survivor- Just can't resist this. Project Runway- I even watch the show after it about the models. So You Think You Can Dance- So glad there's a fall season this year. Top Chef- Pretty good this season.
Here's what I watch: Monday: Download Heroes, watch it on Tuesday Night Tuesday: Watch heroes from Monday night Wednesday: Nothing Thursday: Bones, Download Fringe, Download Flashforward Friday: Ghost Whisperer (Going to abandon this if it doesn't improve by next season), Download Medium, Download Dollhouse, Download Monk, Download Psych Saturday: Watch Monk, Psych, Fringe Sunday: Watch Dollhouse, Medium, Flashforward
We don't have real either! I have a computer hooked up to our tv so I just watch everything online. What websites do you go to? So far projectfreetv.com is the best that I've found. I have been watching: Vampire Diaries Big Bang Theory The Biggest Loser Monk Ghost Whisperer Top Chef Two and a Half Men I wanted to watch Glee but I never got around to it. I guess I can go back and watch the first episodes.
I cannot get into Law and Order SVU this season and its my favorite show! I think the 9pm time slot ruins it for me.
It depends, we use Hulu and Fancast for some stuff (better quality of picture), for older shows or premium channel shows we use ProjectFreeTV. I love it!
I agree. I am annouyed that it moved to Wednesdays! It messed up my whole routine. And, I feel they pretty much ignored last season's big ending with-what's his name?-Stuckey? The young forensics kid. So far, nothing very explosive.
The title is a sure way to reel people in. The only show that I now watch is The Biggest Loser purely for motivation. Other programs that I watch are like House Hunters, which are obviously independent episodes, and special shows on the Discovery & History Channel. Oh, that's not completely true: I never miss an episode of The Soup. I used to watch Jon & Kate Plus Eight, but I no longer watch that, and I used to watch One Tree Hill but because of classes last season missed the entire thing. I am recording this season, and I am very ashamed to admit that I will probably just buy all the seasons of that show and catch up with last season and this season over Christmas break.
Oh, I watch way too much tv and definitely have been enjoying this new season. Here's my can't miss shows this season: Sunday: The Amazing Race Monday: How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory (and Chuck when it comes back on) Tuesday: The Biggest Loser Thursday: Parks and Recreation, The Office, Community Wednesday, Friday and Saturday: Nothing that I'd feel bad about missing Also, I DVR The Young and the Restless each day
I am LOVING Modern Family... I think it's hilarious... Of course I have to catch my HIMYM, Project Runway, The Office.. ...I'm embarrassed to admit this one, but I like the Rachael Zoe Project.
The promps for Modern Family do look quite funny, and I think I would like Community as well (I love Joel), but I have watched neither. I hate commitments.
I watched Community too (Thank you DVR!!) and I wasn't overly impressed. I think it's a show I would watch again if nothing was on.
We DVR Hereos - Like Glee, Courgartown. Watched Hank & the middle. -Of course old favs Grey's, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, Bros & Sis, Man vs. Food!!! DVR Y&R as well Jessica!!!!
We've watched Community each week, and it's a good no-brainer show before we go to bed. I like that it's entirely character based. I love Joel and Chevy Chase, and the other characters are growing on me. The humor is just right-pretty mellow.
You get "The Office" ? Total Brit-tripe of the highest order. That Gevace...Gervace...Jervi....idiot should have been strangled at birth ! Why is this funny? It stands for the "Blair years" a horrible time in Britain whereupon the shallow soundbite ruled supreme ! Bad days....bad programme !!!!!
Oooohhh, I forgot Brothers and Sisters. That is my favorite show of all. I love all the characters, the mom's house, Rob Lowe, David Annable, the witty conversation.
I watch: CSI Miami, Biggest Loser, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Amazing Race, and Desperate Housewives. Sat/Sun are college and pro football days. Love those SEC games and my Steelers! I also DVR All My Children every day...whoa, I watch a lot of TV!
Monday~Dancing with the Stars (though I've missed it the past 2 weeks) Tuesday~The Biggest Loser Wed~nothing really Thur~Vampire Diaries Fri~Ghost Whisperer I watch House Hunters, catch snippets of Survivor between commericals. I heard about Flash Forward and might have to catch that one too. I'm so upset that TruBlood is not coming back until June!
This is truely worrying......from a Brit point of view ! I watch very little...our tv has become dumbed-down. However "University Challenge " remains and repeats of "Teachers" and "Father Ted" keep me going !!!!!
Watching Y&R is such an addiction! But I love so many of the characters that I just can't stop watching!
"National Parks: America's Best Idea" concludes tonight and will be re-broadcast this weekend. A superb show! Just like most Ken Burns documentaries, if you cannot get involved in the subject, you might find it very slow going.
http://www.soaps.com/youngandrestless/ I don't know if you've been to this site, but it gives you lots of spoilers & even what is going to happen that day!!! Have you heard "Victor" may not be coming back?!??
I'm a tv junkie..nothing new to add to my list! My staples: House Lie To Me So You Think You Can Dance LAw and Order SVU Bones Fringe Project Runway I also really like the show Life..but haven't heard anything about it coming back?! anyone heard anything...?
I watch Top Chef, Bones and Sons of Anarchy. I am sad that True Blood is over. I get the shows on itunes/apple tv. I can't imagine being tied down to watching shows on a particular day or schedule.
I see some new shows I want to check out and some I already watch. One that I'm surprised hasn't come up is Royal Pains. I also like Psych. I didn't see that one mentioned either.
Monday: House, Lie to Me Tuesday: Biggest Loser Wednesday: ANTM, Glee (love it!!) Thursday: Vampire Diaries, Grey's Friday, Saturday, Sunday-not much! Some HGTV, but that's it. I have an hour commute, so I go to bed at 10:00pm on weeknights. I want a DVR so badly, only to find out in August that not only is my cable company NOT offering HD, they do not offer DVR's either. (I live in a small rural community). Sigh. That is the ONLY thing I miss from the city.
Why don't you get a DVD recorder? We have one of those before our DVR that has a hard drive. You would just have to program it like an old VCR by setting the date & time & then you can delete the programs!!! It works pretty good...at least you could see your shows. They aren't too bad in price anymore.
Life got canned I would've mentioned Royal Pains, but the season is over I mentioned Psych. Good show
House has been great this season--so far. I loved the season opener. I keep thinking back to it. And last week's show was entertaining. The opening segment--being inside the video game--was unique. I love watching House. And The Office--Steve Carrell (sp?) makes me laugh out loud. I love seeing the autistic man on The Amazing Race. We have a student just like him this year...same tone of voice, highly intelligent, same type of comments, dry wit. I hope they make it all the way, but even if they don't, their attitudes are fantastic. The two of them are in it for fun and don't seem to get bent out of shape.
