I had two interviews at a local school district where I have worked as a TSS for the past year. I think they went ok, but again, I feel like you never really know what they are looking for! After my first interview, 2 weeeks later I got an email saying they were not interested. But then a week later, got a call back for a 2nd interview. The first thing they said to me at this interview was, sorry for the confusion. Of course I wondered if it really was confusion or if someone else pulled out and they wanted to see me again. The principal of the school I worked at was at the 2nd interview and he is now the asst. superintendent. The interview was fairly short, but so was the first one, typical round robin questions. I did miss my chance at the end to show them my portfolio, I kind of forgot about it until I was getting up to shake hands, so I hope that doesnt hurt me! They said they have long and short term sub positions available, from half yr to full yr, and 2 contracts to fill. I will take anything at this point!!!! Preferably lts or contract! Anyway, they said I should hear by the end of this week. I am soooo nervous and the waiting game is the worst! Some well wishes and good vibes sent my way would be appreciated!!
The bedroom closet does need tackling!!! I got a call about my current job today (I work as a TSS) and the mom of one of my clients decided she doesnt want me at the house anymore. She felt I didn't pair well with her daughter and that our personalities were not a good match and my interventions with her are not working. Just feels like a total blow my self esteem. Mom is a bit strange, but never expect this! I am just really hoping for good news on this teaching job because I need pick me up!
