What vitamins do you take and how many do you take?

I recently bought Biotin-anyone take this? How do you like it?

    I also take a Women's One a Day and Vitamin B.

I'm not sure how much to take and what else to take.

Ask your doctor for a nutrition panel. I did one and she gave me a 3-page printout/report of each vitamin they tested me for, how much should be in your system, and how much was in mine.

I take a prescription prenatal. (My doctor believes that all women of child-bearing age should take a prenatal every day "just in case"...like 2/3 of all pregnancies are unplanned.) I also take selenium, vit c, and vit d supplements.

Multi vitamin and I'm also on a mandatory vitamin D prescription (50,000 IU) for 4 months.

Oh boy! My mom who's a real health nut has me taking several vitamins. I take vitamins twice a day:

    Morning
    Supershield
    Vitamin C - 1000mg
    Reservatrol
    Vitamin D3
    COQ10

    Evening
    Supershield (again)
    Vitamin C (again)
    Vitamin E
    Zinc
    Horsetail
    Selinium

I don't take any vitamins. I know I should, but I hate the way they smell. The next time I go to the doc I should ask about a nutritional panel.

They do smell awful, don't they? I had to switch brands for my selenium supplement because the one I used to take smelled like...death. No other way to describe it. It was awful.

Have you looked into chewable vitamins, gummies, or powdered vitamins that you dissolve in liquid? Emergen-C is a good one to take, practically as good as a multi, and it doesn't have the smell issue. I have a ton of Emergen-C pouches in my emergency bug-out bag.

I have never heard of a nutritional panel. What is it exactly?

It was just a blood test done right there in the doctor's office that measured all sorts of different vitamin levels. My friend had something similar as part of a pre-conception panel.

I love the gummy vitamins since regular ones made me gag. I have taken them in the multivimatin, calcium and Omega 3 varieties.

Sometimes I forget to take mine. Is it okay to miss a day or two?

I take Women's One a Day, a multi-mineral and Vitamin B-75 complex. I usually only remember to take them on work days though.

    Thanks for the tip.

I really haven't given much thought to vitamins lately, so I don't guess I even knew there were such options. I will look into it. I really need to lose some weight. Do any vitamins also have an appetite suppressant in them?

I don't normally take any vitamins or medication at all.

I take the very occasional Tylenol for a headache, and Theraflu when I get a cold. That, knock wood, is pretty much it.

I also avoid medicine in general unless it's absolutely necessary, such as when I had H1N1...just don't like the idea. I do, though, take B12 which I consider necessary.
