Has anyone here ever used the company VitalSource to rent ebooks for graduate or undergraduate classes? From what I can tell they rent electronic textbooks that have enhancements the physical ones do not and are about half the price. If you have used these ebooks, did you like the enhancements? What were they? Would you use these again or stick with physical (and more expensive) textbooks?

I've used them with online classes and they're really great. Some of the things I like is that you can highlight your text book, write notes, easily navigate chapters, and some of them have built in exercises that can link to blackboard. Like for instance if you're working on a math class, your exercises are in the book. The teacher can link them directly to your blackboard assignment so you can easily go back and forth. Or like in the assignments you can give a how to type help and see exactly in the textbook where this is explained.
