I'm getting pretty excited about ordering their products this summer, but I'm waiting for their FREE brochures (25) to be well, FREE!

I don't see any great FREE offers yet. Have any of you seen any?

The free items are still there- Look at the business and family blocks on the left side of their homepage. Click on 'free items'.

I found them, Czacza; but what I need are the free brochures. Last year, someone here posted their emails that allowed me to get the free brochures among other things.:)

I signed up to receive VISTA newsletters, but never got anything like that. :(

I've gotten three "freebie" emails from them in the last week, and I haven't seen any free brochures.

Once you start your brochure you will get tons of sales. I started mine and received like 5 sales emails. One of them was for free brochures and other stuff. I love, love, love my job hunting brochure. :thumb:

I used the purple music background.

panel 1: contact info, my website, classroom picture, education
    panel 2: picture, quote
panel 3: mini philosphy, picture, quote
    panel 4: picture, quote
    panel 5: professional achievements, picture
panel 6: professional experience, picture, quote

Although it costs a bit to add pictures I think it makes the brochure pop. (I got the sale where uploads were half price). The quotes I added were from my philosophy.
    :)

wow; CMW, yours sounds pretty impressive. The one I've used for the last few years is basically simple...no personal pics or achievements. Maybe, I should add them.

You teachers have been praising Vistaprint for several years, and for a long time I've resisted visiting the site and buying anything (because I knew it would be a "slippery slope!) Today I finally caved and followed one of the links posted above. I got a free tote bag and a small banner (exciting!)

Just FYI, in order to get the freebies, I think you have enter the site using one of these on-line sales links, because I was working away at a free banner ("You have saved 13.99!" the site told me), but when I left the site to look for a picture I wanted to upload and then re-entered the site through the vistaprint.com address - my "free" banner was no longer free! I had to come back to the AtoZ forum, and enter the Vistaprint site using the link posted above - then my lovely banner was "free". I can't wait to get it!

I got the ideas from mine from our art teacher. He had his professionally done for hundreds of dollars. He said he thinks it has gotten him interviews. =) It really doesn't take that much effort to do it. It's just text boxes and I copied and pasted stuff from my resume. =)

So you order 25 free brochures from Vista print to help you get a teaching job? You create the brochures yourself? I am a little confused about this...

How much does it cost to add pics??? Why not create it yourself in MIcrosoft word or Publisher and then print them at Staples or Office Max or Kinkos type of place...its about 75 cents for the two sided color copy.

I can't wait to place my order!!!!!!!!!!! I want to put curriculum things on the car magnets and use them on my board. I try to think "out of the box" when I order. Any more ideas?

I'm so relieved to hear you each say you have had successful dealings with Vista Print. I googled it and I read many reviews that stated the people were charged things without their permission and that they were entered into a subscription without their knowledge.

I did have that issue one time. I called and firmly instructed them to correct it and they did so immediately.

Loves2Teach, thanks for posting. Great ideas on the items you use to keep you organized and in touch. Do you use the flip a card system in fifth grade? Does it work? Is that with one of the charts from Lakeshore? Good ideas here...

I'll bet Heavens keeps them in her files and pulls them out to show potential schools; I know I would! But, I don't want to speak for her/him.

I like having the brochures for the potential parents that may place their child in my class; I teach at a private school.

You make a brochure to sell yourself and stand out from the other applicants. My brochure has stuff from my resume and portfolio. :D

I'm sure you could create your own...but the easiness and final quality of the brochures is great. The paper is thick and glossy. The pictures come out high quality. They have tons of backgrounds to fit any situation. Also it's so easy to work with text boxes to add info. I think the original cost per upload is 4.99 but I paid 1.99 per upload. The original cost of my brochures (sans discount) would have been close to $100. I only paid for picture uploads ($16) and fast shipping ($15). :D

Yes, that is my school-wide behavior policy. It works for me... I also have my students fill out a slip documenting what they did. I have a calendar chart that I put laminated cards in

Oh no, here we go with VistaCrack...err, print...! Has anyone seen the TV ads? I was surprised to see them. I was kinda scared that they were getting so big now, and maybe the free stuff would go away. I have emails from VP almost every day, but I haven't been opening them. Not quite ready for the addiction yet...

So frustrated! This is the second time today I've sat down to place a big Vista Print order (or two!), and once I'm in the process of ordering my first item going through the various tab offers, my Internet Explorer shuts down at the exact same tab. I'll try again tomorrow and call if I don't make any progress...

Hmm, I'm thinking of having a lawn sign made for a BB that would say something like "Presenting Ms. Teachling's" class. I need to figure out the theme so it goes with how I will do my BB. Please continue sharing ideas & may be my light bulb will come on.

    I found this quote:
Every child is born a naturalist. His eyes are, by nature,
open to the glories of the stars, the beauty of the flowers,
    and the mystery of life.
    - R. Search
I would like to have a lawn sign that says something about children & nature. Some sort of metaphor --- ah! need ideas!
