Ellie Rubenstein publicly quit her teaching job on YouTube several months after I did. What she saw happening
in Chicago I saw happening in Providence.

What other areas are experiencing similar working conditions?

At some point I hope the "education pendulum" will swing
back the other way - for those left standing and newbies alike...

    Here's her 10 minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66K4e8qjRmY

With all due respect, Teacherman, as someone who has been coming to this forum for a few months now, I'd like you to consider something. You're DROWNING the forum in your "agenda" and making it a lot less fun/informative than it could be. When I log on to see new posts and your agenda is 6 of the 15 new threads, it gets overwhelming and does the exact opposite of what you hope. I can not think of one thing I'd like to think LESS about than dyslexia and reading upside-down after visiting this forum. Maybe if you dial it back a bit, what you say would have impact instead of being background noise.

Teacherman, I get what you're saying. I watched the video and I felt like she was talking about me. I'm in a school where my situation seems similar to hers.

To everyone else, I know we come to A to Z for different reasons; may it be for fun, advice, information or other... but just know that we have this place where we can talk, share thoughts and ideas, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on. We don't always read everyone's posts as they don't all appeal to our needs.

My point is: at least I'm not alone in this fight, and thank you for sharing.
