Any ideas for Valentine's Day in the Montessori elementary classroom.

I can think of card making, poetry studies and history of St. Valentine's. Any other thoughts that are easy on the teacher's side and intriguing for the kids would be appreciated.

    many thanks!

Hope you get some good ideas. I don't teach that age, but it might be nice to look at the history of Valentine's day, or if you're doing poetry writing, write some poems using the various styles you're studying.

I know when my son was in the 2nd yr of his 6-9 class, he wrote me a poem and they copied it onto a valentine in their best handwriting, and he decorated it an gave it to me. I still have it and love it.
