I want to decorate my whole (5th grade) classroom with student-made Valentine's Day arts and crafts. We have made a few things already. Yesterday we used heart-shaped cookie cutters and red/pink/purple paint to stamp hearts all over white paper and cut and color all the overlaying parts. They are very cute and added a lot of pop to our room. I was wondering if anyone had any other cute ideas we can use for our next Fun Friday activity.

    Thanks!

It is the best idea to make student familiar with valentine's day theme.Ask your students to decorate the class themselves in competition with another class.

I usually have my students make their own version of "Hearts" by Jim Dine. Just google image those phrases, and check out the first picture that pops up. It's simple, but "grown up" since it's based on an already existing piece of art.
